Sjövik, Lake Åsunden, Ulricehamn, Sweden, 1 September 2025.
Sidenote: On the ice, in the middle of the picture, 19 January 1520, a battle took place between the Swedish regent Sten Sture the Younger and the Danish king Christian II. Sten Sture was mortally wounded by a Danish cannonball, and he died two weeks later on the ice of Lake Mälaren, on his way to Stockholm. Subsequent dramatic events shaped modern Sweden within a few years (Gustav Vasa defeated Christian II and became king on 6 June 1523, which is now our National Day/Independence Day).
