I wish I stopped to enjoy the view. The last few weeks I have been going through some slides I took many years ago. I found this image, probably from a moving car, somewhere unknown. I really like the quality of light and the earth tones. The image is not sharp, has motion blur, and other faults. I can decide if the faults of the image are what make it appealing to me.

I tried to catch the deer that were here at sunrise, but after wondering what these monsters were that have invaded their space, they scurried off around the corner where I couldn't catch a shot of them.~

I'm really enjoying the foreground:background dynamics: it took me a minute to realize that the "sky" was really just a bush-speckled hillside...
Lovely.
We had our first chrysalis open last week, and the poor, poor monarch inside just couldn't shed the shell . . . it did not survive.
We have two others; both of which are about half the size of the first.
