Thousands?. Really?.. music has been drm free for years .. so you can transfer that anywhere.. apps is an issue.. army movies .mk4?.. they can be moved.. so it just comes down to apps.. where all major apps are on all platforms... Let me guess.. wen u say thousands.. U mean a couple of hundred bucks... Am I right?..

No you are wrong. My iTunes bill last month was for over $60, so no not hundreds. I buy all of my music and this is why my 64GB phone is full.

Thats HUGE!! and they made fun of note users for their devices being so large. The 5.5" iPhone is going to be as large as some 6" smartphones with that huge bezel and home button.

I can't get over how ugly those breaks are ... like seriously. I've always loved all of the previous iPhone designs and never had a problems with the changes in iOS 7 but this looks so gross. I can't even. Obviously I'm still going to go out and buy it just cause it's an iPhone freakin 6 but still ... why you gotta make it not classy??

I don't know, I don't think they look that bad.

I'm really saddened by how ugly this phone is. It's just a total mess aesthetically.

Everyone thought that about the iPhone 4 as well before they actually saw it.

Just hold on to your horses everyone and reserve judgement until you actually see it.

Is the resolution going to be that awkward 960p because of the 4:3 aspect ratio? I think it's time to let go of the 4:3 ratio and get 16:9 ratio.

LOL. You honestly believe Tim can overrule Jonny on a design? :apple:

It's not a matter of belief. The CEO of a company can overrule anything except a "pink slip" from the board of directors.

Don't forget the lack of TrueTone Flash. There's no reason why they'd ditch such a wonderful feature.

What "wonderful feature"? A LED flash is the butt of the worst joke in history to begin with, and a hundred years or so of photography tells us in no uncertain terms that color cast from mismatching lightning is a non issue. If Apple insists on a dual flash, then for god's sake let it be a Xenon/LED mix, not a two tone LED setup.

sucks the 4.7 will be bigger than some 5.1 android devices because of that damn home button

That depends if you want on screen buttons or a physical home button. A 5" android phone with on screen buttons is essentially a 4.7" phone.

what happend with selling point the 3.5" and 4" is perfect ergonomic for your thumb.. we don't need anything bigger like android? a bit contradictory if you ask me..

So you agree that if most of your spending is on music which is transferable then you are not really tied in at all..

Hey genius 5,5" smart phones are sold as phablets ! And adding a 4.7" smart phone to does nothing to their philosophy. Giving consumers choices is not a contradiction to their philosophy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Give me the 5.5" iPhone 6 or GTFO if you ask me.

I may settle for the 4.7" but the GS5 is a really REALLY nice phone. The water proofing and kids mode alone has the wife sold. For me it's the 5.1" screen on a device no larger than the GS4.

When I first saw that iPhone 4 which was left in the bar, I thought that industrial-looking design was unique and stunning. I couldn't wait until I saw it in person to confirm my feelings about it. The iPhone 4/4s belongs in a museum. The feeling I get from the iPhone 6 is that it will probably not be stunning like the 4 was, but it will still be alright, just alright. In other words, don't expect to turn heads like you did when you were one of the first iPhone 4 users. Maybe the iPhone 7 will deliver that response. As for the size, that may be an issue with some people and their tight pockets.

These are both obvious fakes.

I'm hoping though, these mock-ups going around aren't actually representative of Apple's line-up.

For one thing, if Apple's smallest model ends up being a 4.7", I'm gonna hold onto my 5S for as long as possible and hope Apple comes back to their senses before it's truly obsolete. The 4.7" won't fit in my pants, and I'm not going to start wearing a man purse just to carry my phone around. I also have no desire to use my phone two-handed. I have an iPad. A larger iPhone offers me nothing but inconvenience.

Ironically, if Apple were to switch to 4.7" as the minimum, it's going to force me to start looking for a new phone from a company other than Apple. Sadly it seems Apple was the last real hold-out for flagship phones in a small form factor. Android is probably a hopeless cause, but maybe there's a decent Windows Phone out there that's not massive.

So keep your iPhone 4S, 5 or 5S - what ever it is that you currently own that you're happy with. It will still make phone calls and send multi-media text messages down the road. As you said yourself, you have your iPad for everything else. Otherwise, move along with progress and qwitcherbitchin.

this month most of it was on music, which i agree is transferable. the custom apps that i use for work that were designed specifically for iOS are not. Neither are the countless iBooks or movies that I have purchased.

when the iPhone was created the 3.5 was a normal size...some phones may have been bigger.

competitors wanted to outdo Apple and went bigger. Apple stayed its course nd said 3.5 was THE size for use.

Somewhere along development of future iPhones they realized 4" was actually a decent size and still made one-handed use easy.

NOW, with SWIPE for back and Pull-Down for search you still can use a LARGER iPhone without too much issue.

I think the one-handed use was actual in the beginning. but once others started going larger they had to ensure that their user base would still be able to use it =without issue.

Who knew Apple would ditch the pocket-friendly 4-inch display and copy design of HTC One M8 and HTC One Max?

Such a copy cat.

There is NO way the iPhone 6 will have huge bezels like this or will it have those hideous breaks. If they can't match up the colors of the breaks and the metal better, get ready for a run on the black model. Every black iPhone 6 mock-up I've seen looks great, even with the breaks, because the breaks blend in and virtually disappear into the phone. The gold model with the white breaks looks absolutely awful. That said, Apple can get away with it, since the 6 will be the first larger screened iPhone available and then you also have to consider most users drop their iPhone in a case and will never see the breaks after they pull it from the box. Nonetheless, Apple will get hammered by the press if they release an iPhone 6 that looks so "partitioned."
