I can understand an iPod Touch but when I was 10 I had an a Nokia flipphone...then again that was in 2005. But I still in 2008 i had a Razor...long story short..the iPhone 5 is my first iPhone

*sighs*

The sad realization that I am often engaged in discussions with adolescents.

Maybe it's just me, but I really really like that blue. Then again, I'm not sure how I feel about it versus the classiness of the current iPhone.

Love the bold font, makes your post that much better!

Maybe they should do the Mac Pro in colors too, since it LOOKS LIKE it is also made of plastic.

:apple:

It was part of the sarcasm, just like the exclamation marks.

So which is accurate? The red and yellow ones in the second pic look darker than the the ones in the first. And the blue is definitely different than these leaked buttons. Also the leaked lime green doesn't look very pastel. IF these are legit it makes me wonder if Apple was testing out different colors/shades and what we're seeing are rejects or not the final color choices?

Does anyone think this serves to reinforce Apple's image of high-end devices and computers?

In the second pic those colors are great, the top colors are uglier IMHO. It however appears to be taken at the same time. I suggest the angle of the lighting has a lot to do with the coloration in the pic. The bottom green phone looks great IMHO and could see deep colors like the green phone selling well. I'd probably buy my 8 and 10 year old kids those over an iTouch and a cheaper phone together.

Did this?

We have no clue if these leaks are legit or if they are what the final product will look like or what the context is around it. All we can assume is if Apple is going to introduce a low cost phone the target market is going to be different than the 5/5S.

IF these are legit I'm a little surprised Apple didn't go the iPod touch/iPad mini route. Maybe these phones will be cheaper than people are predicting. Or Apple is seriously worried about cannibalization of the flagship device. Or maybe Jony Ive is so annoyed that Cook is making him do this he's rebelling with the color choices. :p

Ah, Sonny Dickson. The teenager who pays his "asian contacts" for apple photos to leak. Then sells to websites to fund his penchant for designer glasses and watches. Pretty much uses this as his "bank".

Some (scratch that, a lot) of 10 year olds do have iPhones, but use it for school stuff. Or iPod Touches.
Hell, when I was 10, I had an iPhone 3G.

......i don't want to live on this planet anymore....

I liked the idea of colours. Then i remembered we'll only have either black or white face plates. Looking at those colours the only colour FP that will go with them is the white.......and picture that colour combo makes me thinks of a bit of a colour overload!

Really.

Hey Apple. Just b/c the phone is cheaper doesn't mean you have to make it look cheap.

Who would pay $450 something that looks like a some plastic junk at the bottom of a toddler's toy bin?

What the hell is going on at Apple? Really. Even the Mac Pro is Plastic Fantastic now.

:apple:

internet must be taken seriously at all times.

Looks very plasticky. Like a fisher price phone. But hey...it's the "c" for "cheaper" iphone....so

I guess I'm one of the only ones that sees the value in "mixing things up" sometimes. This will sell a lot of iPhones, just watch. Most of you seem concerned about Apple releasing a product that you don't like. . . very odd. As long as they release products that you do want, what is your problem? I seem to remember Apple consumers making fun of the MacBook Air when first released.

How dare Apple release a product I don't think I would use or wish to be seen with or I believe is below them!

Get over it.

Here are the simple truths as I see it:

1. Apple saw a market for this product.

2. They will spin this up and drive a huge ad campaign behind it.

3. A lot of people will buy this product.

4. Spring of next year there will be Galaxy S5s with the same color schemes.

5. All of you who buy the 5S or develop iOS apps will benefit from the larger iPhone userbase.

Personally, I love the shape. I miss the curved edges and thought the iPhone 4 brick style was a bit annoying, I never really complained though I just got cases.

I think I will get the white or black but the blue looks kinda fun.

I know a lot of girls who would love to have a red, pink, or candy green iPhone. Giving consumers options is a very good practice. These will probably sell, a lot. Watch.

They will be polycarbonate, colorful, feel great, and look great live. We heard the same thing with the iP4, people saying Apple would never do this or that. And of course, Apple would never produce a two-tone phone, and if they did, no one would ever buy it.

When announced, the 5C will receive rave reviews, have the same specs as the current iP5, and be priced starting at $329 (8 GB version), $0 with contract, which will shock everyone. They will smash sales records.

The 5S will have a better camera, A7, 2 GB RAM, finger print sensor, may be liquid metal (though doubtful), and may sell for $249 on contract to make up for lower sales due to the 5C.
