I wasn't actually blaming anyone.
Except those 'some' to whom emojis are so important, that a company felt the need to make this keyboard. This diverts the responsibility of the creator for his creation, to a group of possible buyers. Frankenstein made the monster, the monster is not responsible for its own existence. Companies come up with stupid product ideas all the time even without a market demanding them. It's not necessary the importance of emojis that made the company feel the need to make this keyboard. Lots of things have been created without a need for their existence.

Are you kidding me?!!
You're really going to insist on something that isn't true, over two words?

Two words, that quite hilariously, I only put in there to avoid this kind of nonsense.

Emojis in general are awful. They are difficult to see and not very expressive.

The expansion to useless new options like taco and that someone has felt the need to bring an emoji keyboard to market underscores this.

Compared to the expressivity of sticker sets in apps like LINE, emojis seem even weaker. Line has predictive emoji/stickers too, which is really helpful when communicating with people whose primary language may not be your own.

How will they keep up when Apple releases software updates to include more emojis?

This would have been more interesting if the each key had a digital display that could adapt software shortcuts to make things easier. I'd love to see keyboard shortcuts for Photoshop.

Just realised this joke starts at $90..... That very expansive for a apple KB ripoff. And I thought Samsung did good copies...

This is how the world ends. Not with a bang, but with an Emoji keyboard.

Definitely making that a white card now, thanks!

Anyways, I find this silly. My method for typing emojis is I just set them to autocorrects. For example, I have

Mf autocorrect to (does that count as a swear? Should the forum engine block certain emojis as swears?)

Oh, that's weird... Do any emojis show up on the forums at all?

Guess not. Seems to have automatically removed both the middle finger and the smiley. That's lame.

All this plastic. Wrecking the environment. Contributing to mass extinction. For an emoji keyboard.

Humans, it was fun while it lasted.

The great thing about this website is the attitude of "if I don't like it then the idea is STUPID!!!!"

Basically, Americans.

The keyboard alone costs around $15 or maybe even less on EBay. Guess the premium comes from emoji stickers..

Of course this begs the question: Are human beings evolving into an international hieroglyphic user-base? Will icons replace letter writing and become the new universal language?
