Pick Up In Store Thread

UK Pick up instore

I reserved a pick up last Friday for a launch day collection.

I received a confirmation email with my selected time slot with no payment details required (as per other UK customers).

I did however log into my apple store account to check a few things and there is nothing under the reservations, does anyone else have this?

The "reservations" in your apple store account are genius and specialist appointments, not product reservations. Everything is perfectly fine, your iPhone reservation doesn't show up anywhere except the mail you got, it's the same in Germany.
 
Looking forward to tomorrow now. My pick up slot is 8-9am from the Aberdeen store, Scotland. Heading in for a Starbucks at 7am and will join the pick up line then.

Thanks for clarifying that, I thought that might have been the case but wasn't 100% sure.

It's the first time I'll be collecting from a reservation so I hope it goes smoothly. I've got a 12-13:00 slot in the uk, I do hope its quick as I'll be going on my lunch hour! Is there much queuing doing it this way?
 
For those of you that have done in-store pick up before for pre-orders, at what time do they usually start sending out "ready for pick-up" e-mails?
 
Some have stated that orders scheduled for in-store pickup would only be held for 24 hours.

I just got odd the phone with online order support and they tell me that my phone will be held for a week and that after 1 week I would receive a warning email letting me know that my phone would be returned to the warehouse if I did not come to retrieve it.

That's normal. The pending charge can only stay in your account for so long. Expect a final charge between now and the time you pick it up. Nothing to worry about. People should stop scrutinizing their CC statements as it tells you nothing.
 
My Chase CC pending charge disappeared today as well.
Also, still in processing and nothing new shows up in my Apple profile page.
So I think all of this is just normal.

When I pre-ordered my iPad Air last year, my ready for pick-up email came really early in the morning of launch day.
I think we are all OK.
 
Anyone with a chase card have any experience with previous launch pre orders?

Asking because I'd like to trade in my iPhone 5 in store and apply the gift card to my pre-ordered iphone 6. I'm hoping the pending charges disappearing means that we'll have to swipe the cards in store vs pre-billing so this would be possible.

Anyone have any insight on this?
 
My pending charge is still there, however I have no further instructions from Apple about how the pickup will work. Kind of odd really.
