Do any of you with AT&T show that your upgrade is still eligible after doing in store pick up? I made a double pre-order with AT&T Premier and apple last Friday. This morning, I was finally able to confirm cancellation of the AT&T order after making several calls throughout the week. I just hope that my apple order ends up going through and doesn't get canceled because of the conflicting use of the upgrade.
Funny - if you got there that late at the NYC 5th Ave store (where I have my pickup), you would probably have to wait for hours. I'm planning on getting there relatively early, but am still expecting a long wait.
I'm going to use you as my guinea pig then since I have to pick up mine from that store too. I figured I'd have better luck going after work.

Go to your order page on Apple.com, and however over the blue arrow next to "Processing Items." There you'll see all of the potential statuses of your order. You can tell by the names and descriptions that the possibilities are for in-store pickup specifically.
Other possible statuses include "Preparing for shipment" and "Shipping to store."
Maybe it just skips those steps usually, or those will come tomorrow. Only time will tell. Just hope we all get our iPhones on Friday and everything goes smoothly!

I had a chat with the apple support folks online about this question said:I spoke with an ATT CS rep, who said that activation instructions for cross-upgrades are included in the box of the phone, but whatever you do, don't turn on the new phone, or it will automatically activate. Keep the phone off and follow the instructions.
I'm planning on picking my phone up a little later in the day, so hopefully the apple store staff will already have gone through this and will at least know what not to do.

Ok I'm freaking out right now. I checked my Apple account and it is still saying the same thing "processing" pick up date "9/19", and then i went to check my bank account and my Pending Authorization for the payment of my phone is not there anymore and the money was put back on my account??? WTF does that mean????? What should I do?
