He said WORLDWIDE launch on 17th. To me, that means the first country to hit 00:00 on 17th June should have it available. That was not the case and whether it was always meant to be as it is, he lied. A more correct sentance would be "Available Worldwide except any countries before the USA cause god forbid anyone have something before the American people"

This all reminds of the release of "The Little Mermaid" by Disney, and all these Mom & Pop video stores released it as soon as they got it; while Blockbuster and Hollywood Video sat on their hands until the actual release date.....

3.0 was PLANNED to be released on the 17th worldwide. AFTER Phil said that, the date was delayed a day. He had no control over it whatsoever. He DIDN'T lie, nobody did.Technically he did.

I downloaded the developer GM 3.0 and I when i updated my iphone, I did get an update from my carrier (rogers, Canada) settings for iphone and my tethering showed up and worked. this was Sunday nite.
iPhone 3G was launched last in the USA... It was 20 rolling launches around the world finishing with the USA.
