So does this mean that the 3.0 software will be made available at 00:01 on the 17th of June (US Time) would that be Eastern, or Western? :p:confused::D

17th of June US time is 18th of June Australian time....

No-one is lying...

He never said that though. He said worldwide 17th June... and yes he did say 17th June. He didn't say planned, he didnt say Australia or Mongolia would be released later, he didn't say it would come with 3 pancakes and a stack of omlettes... he said "It will be released everywhere in the world aka Worldwide on 17th June".

Ergo visa vi cocordinately, he told a big fat porky!

Exactly - he never said it would be 17th June GMT-5 or anything like that. Cannot believe how Phillip Schillingtonbergenhaus could lie to us like that.

Sorry I cannot move past the lie that was foretold to us at WWDC. I've just thrown my Mac Pro out third storey bedroom and thrown my iMac in the swimming pool. I think I am going to get my horses to trample on my Macbook and Macbook Pro.

Where do you live? I'll come and jump up and down on it for you (but not the one in the swimming pool, I'll mess up my hair).

This all reminds of the release of "The Little Mermaid" by Disney, and all these Mom & Pop video stores released it as soon as they got it; while Blockbuster and Hollywood Video sat on their hands until the actual release date.....:p:p:p

Ahhhh......what a lovely story. Tell us more. Did you buy it? This is much more interesting than the initial post.... :D

You can actually work out when this firmware is going to be released.
First work your way through the Apple sites in the different time zones that show the date for release. You will find 2 that are close to each other on which the date will change. Here are 2:

Apple India (June 17th) - http://www.apple.com/in/iphone/softwareupdate/

Apple Thailand (June 18th)- http://www.apple.com/asia/iphone/softwareupdate/
(I know the link says Asia but this was from the Thailand Apple site)

India is +0530 UTC
Thailand is +0700 UTC

Here is the fixed time for midnight between 17th and 18th June for the 2 countires, the launch should be between these 2 times.

India - http://www.timeanddate.com/worldcloc...0&sec=0&p1=771

Thailand - http://www.timeanddate.com/worldcloc...=0&sec=0&p1=28

From this information you should be able to work out the release time where you are.

I'm sitting in the garden with a nice glass of wine (or 2....or 3...., OK make it a bottle). There's no way I can work that one out! ;)

I bet the following will happen:

Apple change their websites pushing back the release 4 weeks. Everyone knows this is different from the promised 17th June. Then, they reshoot the WWDC stream and upload it to the internet. The reshot WWDC is just the original hacked up so that when they say the reelase date its actually 4 weeks later. So it looks like the public are thick and cannot remember a simple date. Apple then force us to believe that we are all stupid, then they release the iMemory which is for writing down specific dates and we all buy it at the princely sum of $2599/£3200 because we 'forgot' the WWDC announcement.

Oh, and Apple Samurai Ninjas have already intercepted anyone with an original recording of the WWDC and destroyed their copies. NO PROOF THAT WE WERE WRONG.

That would be an awesome movie, if you were deaf and blind.
