Just wanted to say thanks to the OP for bringing these to my attention. My skin arrived yesterday (about a week after ordering, shipped to UK) and it was installed in less than 5 minutes without any real problems, and certainly much easier than other skins and protectors that I've used in the past. The corners were a bit tricky, and the first corner that I did isn't perfect, but that was my fault for not following the instructions in the video correctly. Even then, the imperfection is minimal and only noticeable if you really look for it. The other 3 corners are all close enough to perfect for my needs.

The skin itself looks great, and at first glance you would never know that it wasn't real metal (brushed silver finish for me). It also improves the grip on the back of the iPad, and I personally think that these skins in conjunction with a smart cover give the perfect balance of looks and scratch protection. Admittedly it won't give drop protection, but just make sure that you don't drop it! I'm also going to use a 'sock' for added protection when carrying it in a bag, but around the house this combo gives all the protection that I need.

Thumbs up from me.

You can re-do the corner you're not happy with! Just heat it with a hair dryer and gently lift, then heat again and reapply.

Thank you so much for the pictures.
Does Graphite brushed has brown tint or it is more black?

When I look at it from a couple of feet away it looks completely black. But when I'm up close to to you can see some brown tones also (especially under light).

I just installed this on my girlfriend's iPad 3. It's called Graphite Brushed. Sorry I'm not a good photographer. I took the picture outside for better lighting but you can't even see that the apple is silver

Just ordered the same design after seeing this. It looks great, can't wait for it arrive. Thanks for sharing:D

I'm thinking of getting the same skin.

Can you please post pictures of the brushed silver?

I placed an order two days ago so hopefully it will arrive today or tomorrow. I bought a bunch of skins for myself and friends. Brushed Silver was part of my order. I'll take pictures and post as soon as I get it on!

Looking forward to the brushed silver install. :)

I ordered the Pink Antibacterial powder-coated for my wife's ipad. She has a pink Smart Cover so we got it to complete the look. It doesn't match exactly but I installed it anyway because I had already received it. She hasn't decided yet if she likes it or not. I'm including a picture comparing the two colors so you can see. Also, I took a photo with the belkin snap-shield over the skin because she wanted a pink ipad but she likes the feel of the snap-shield in her hands while she's holding it. Actually, with the snap-shield on it makes the skin color look lighter and closer to the color of the smart cover.

Easy Extreme Fit Skins

Apple freakk, do you know how to order the easy extreme fit or was it just a one off? Maybe we have to wait longer.....it looks great!!

Also do you think you could post a close up pic of the corner slices? Only if it's not too much trouble...I can't find any pics as it's just new. Thanks in advance.

EDIT: never mind, they've just updated their website since yesterday!!!

Yes, I see they made the updates to purchase.

Hmmm. The best part of these Skins is installing them and admiring for days. Then I get the itch to change the look. It's amazing how the back started with an aluminum look and transforms into a completely new surface. Not which I appreciate more? the new retina screen or the back and front Skin.

They emailed me some small photos of new colors. They have 4 new wood textures. I can not decide which to try next. I'm thinking of type 4.
royal primavera
white pearl wood
red wood
walnut

4 new Colors to choose from for my iPad 3.

I already have the primavera in easy extreme fit. I need one for my dad's 4g Lte. Any suggestions?

I am leaning towards the red wood or the white pearl white. The white pearl has some silver in it. I think it will look cool in the type 4 since a small amount of aluminum shows.

That looks great, thanks for sharing! I was considering getting the snapshield to go over my gelaskin that I just ordered (had a gift certificate) but wasn't sure whether it would fit. Now I can assume it will! Off to order the Snapshield now :)

Be careful not to do this too many times, or you'll wear down the adhesive like I did. Having to order another one so I can get it just right. I was able to get the bottom corners to keep the correct shape but because the adhesive had worn away they weren't snug to the metal and had a small gap. It wasn't horrible but it bugged me enough to take it off.

So to answer another question, no residue is left at all from removing.

Actually, if you save the 3M backing paper that it originally comes on you can remove the entire skin and reuse it again. Just be extra careful when pealing it off (especially around the apple cutout area), place it on the 3M backing paper then heat with a hair dryer and smooth it out to make it perfect again.

Just ordered the graphite one from sticker boy for my iPad 2. Hopefully it doesn't take too long getting here to the UK.

Here you go. :)

I included a photo of both a well installed corner and the one where I made a mistake.

Is that Silver Brushed or Anthracite Silver Brushed? Also, someone posted that you can still fix a bad corner.

----------

Ahh, I just found a video on their site showing how to fix the corner. It's called "Best quality iPad skin - Repairing creases and wrinkles".

Has anyone got pictures comparing the new easy extreme to the regular exterme fit? There are too many choices haha

do they have a new style or Product?

Which one did you order?

It's not a new style or product per say. Just a new color series for the iPad. They have it for the iPhone already, I just noticed it wasn't available for the iPad, so I shot them a email and they happen to be coming soon.

So I got a chance to be the first to rock it.

Waiting for my package, postman says he has no package for me.

It's Brushed Silver.

To be honest, I'm not that worried about the corners, they look fine unless you look at them up close, and I don't tend to do that in normal use

Hi Sweet Dove, I hope this multi quote works.

I got my black antibacterial extreme fit + brushed silver apple logo from sticker boy today. I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out. Smart cover works great with it as well.

I received the Extreme Fit stealth white skin yesterday and was able to install it this morning. Overall, the skin is really high quality and looks great. But I have a few comments regarding the Extreme Fit and the white color in case anyone plans on ordering this exact one.

First, the Extreme Fit is pretty hard to install. It literally covers every single area of aluminum on the back of the iPad using laser cutouts. Properly positioning the skin isn't actually all that hard, but getting it positioned without any corner creases is pretty tough on the corner near the camera since there are a few cutouts there for the power button, switch and volume rocker.

Second, the stealth white will show minor imperfections in the install over a skin that is darker. So if you want to take the challenge, I say go for it because it looks great. But, if you are hesitant about being able to get it on perfectly, I would definitely recommend a darker and textured skin.

Lastly, the Apple logo insert is not exactly a perfect fit. It is a tad too small. This doesn't present a problem with darker skins where the uncovered outline of the logo will blend in with the skin. But with a white skin, you can definitely see the size difference. So I would suggest that if you get a lighter skin and want protection on the Apple logo, to definitely choose a dark logo insert.

Here is a photo of my install.

Here it is. I dont know if I would want to install one of these again. It was a pain to get the edges down and even still they are not perfect. But I like it and the Smart Cover stays on better than the iCarbon brushed aluminum skin I had.

I asked them for something easier than the Extreme Fit. This is the new Easy Extreme Fit that they said they will launch next Monday. My mom was able to ask them to buy one ahead of time so she doesn't have to pay for shipping when that gets available since she bought 8 Skin kits for me and the family.

This color I choose was their Royal Primavera Wood. There are slices in the corners which makes it easier than the type 1, They told me to connect the slices and press in the middle. There will be minor wrinkles, then I heated them and it desolved faster than the type 1. Its really tough to see or feel the slices, unless to eye it 2 inches away. I am really lovin this one because I get full coverage. I also got the front and I love their defined home button, it has that tiny square shape cut out too. These pictures are better than my first ones because I used my sister's ipad 3 wifi. Ipad 3 hd takes better pictures than the iphone 4 even though the specs are similar. Also, this new one is missing that thin strip under the dock connector. Thats why they call it the Easy Extreme fit.

The first 3 are extreme fits and the last (mine is easy extreme)
Since I am a beginner, I tried the type 1 for my sisters iPad, and then I tried the easy extreme fit. The easy extreme was easier than the type 1. When installing, there is a slight overlap!. They made it like that so that you will not see a silver crack. Next step is important! YOU ARE NOT SUPPOSE TO OVER LAP. YOU ARE SUPPOSE TO CONNECT THE SLICES IN A FLUSH MANNER. THIS WILL CAUSE A SMALL BUBBLE ON EACH SIDE OF THE CORNERS. THEN USE YOUR HAIR DRYER TO HEAT IT OUT. It was less heating than the type 1.

If you do get an over lap, just relift and try to flush it and heat again.

I just installed my skin. And totally botched it. I will post pics later when I get home

This film is extremely harder than the other materials.

Edit. Here are some crappy photos until tomorrow when the sun is out.

I got the chromatic pearl series. This is white pearl. Overall quality is amazing. But it is definitely hard.
