I just bought a back skin after seeing the pics in this tread. Cant wait!! Thx all!!

Got my type 2 black powder coated yesterday. Very nice! Installation was pretty easy, and I'm horrible at that type of thing. It's a fine texture that feels super-hard once it's applied. The hardest part was applying the little Apple leaf inset.

Took only 4 days to get mine, it shipped from New Jersey. Thanks OP!

I placed a large order using code "ipadskins" and received it the other day. I bought more for myself and a bunch for my friends and coworkers. Now I'm known as "the guy that puts skins" on your iPad. :)

I apologize for the quality of this photo. It's the Silver Anthracite Brushed with Dark Rose apple on an iPad 2. I installed for a friend and didn't realize until after he left that the photos were out of focus!

The first 3 are extreme fits and the last (mine is easy extreme)
Since I am a beginner, I tried the type 1 for my sisters iPad, and then I tried the easy extreme fit. The easy extreme was easier than the type 1. When installing, there is a slight overlap!. They made it like that so that you will not see a silver crack. Next step is important! YOU ARE NOT SUPPOSE TO OVER LAP. YOU ARE SUPPOSE TO CONNECT THE SLICES IN A FLUSH MANNER. THIS WILL CAUSE A SMALL BUBBLE ON EACH SIDE OF THE CORNERS. THEN USE YOUR HAIR DRYER TO HEAT IT OUT. It was less heating than the type 1.

If you do get an over lap, just relift and try to flush it and heat again.

Thanks for the info. I'll be installing one of these Easy Extreme Fits later today.

Easy Extreme Fit - not for me

I got the brushed graphite in easy extreme fit. There is a reason why this is a difficult install. Everything has to be lined up perfectly. The slices for the corners, I feel, are a detriment if you are trying to reapply over and over to get the corners right and to hide the slice as best as possible. It made further ripping the skin a ton easier (which I did on two of the corners). Don't get me wrong, it looks great to the average eye, and the quality is very good, but I obsess over those minor imperfections.

The smart cover loses maybe about 10% of its grip on the ipad because of the skin, but that is to be expected. I think next time I will go with a less extreme fit and not have to deal with the corners, or making sure the sticker perfectly fits the volume rocker and the sleep/wake.

Here are some pictures of my Grey Matte Extreme fit skin:

The corner with the speaker cutout is the hardest. It wants to stretch out the thin strip that goes under it if you try and press too hard. I had issues with the first installation where the corners lost adhesive and left a gap. This time I got it close enough that I didn't want to peel it up again to try and get rid of the wrinkles.

I might use an xacto knife to cut out the strip where the smart cover connects. It tends to slide around on the skin.

I received the Extreme Fit stealth white skin yesterday and was able to install it this morning. Overall, the skin is really high quality and looks great. But I have a few comments regarding the Extreme Fit and the white color in case anyone plans on ordering this exact one.

First, the Extreme Fit is pretty hard to install. It literally covers every single area of aluminum on the back of the iPad using laser cutouts. Properly positioning the skin isn't actually all that hard, but getting it positioned without any corner creases is pretty tough on the corner near the camera since there are a few cutouts there for the power button, switch and volume rocker.

Second, the stealth white will show minor imperfections in the install over a skin that is darker. So if you want to take the challenge, I say go for it because it looks great. But, if you are hesitant about being able to get it on perfectly, I would definitely recommend a darker and textured skin.

Lastly, the Apple logo insert is not exactly a perfect fit. It is a tad too small. This doesn't present a problem with darker skins where the uncovered outline of the logo will blend in with the skin. But with a white skin, you can definitely see the size difference. So I would suggest that if you get a lighter skin and want protection on the Apple logo, to definitely choose a dark logo insert.

Here is a photo of my install.

This is awesome. However, its so white I worry that it will be whiter than the front of my white iPad, which would look weird. Can anyone confirm that either the white or stealth white will match the sort of off white the front of the iPad is?

Installed the Antibacterial Powder Coated Matte White skin tonight. Very easy install, the corners gave me a lil trouble, but is well at the end.

I use an Incipio Feather case and put it back on after the install and the fit is very tight now. What back cases do you guys use w/ the skin?

Do you have a white iPad?

Someone who got combination: extreme fit + incipio feather case could post some example pictures :) Please

I dont have pics at the moment, but with my iPad2 + white textured skin + incipio feather its a very tight fit.

Where do you order the different color Apple logos for the back of the iPad? I don't see them anywhere.

I just installed this on my girlfriend's iPad 3. It's called Graphite Brushed. Sorry I'm not a good photographer. I took the picture outside for better lighting but you can't even see that the apple is silver metal.
