I really think it's a fake. The wraith of Jobs shall come down upon those who violate NDA!!! Rivers and seas shall boil, Dogs and cats living together Mass hysteria.

.....but nice attempt at a fake

I believe it. CD for information to the store, etc. Looks wider like the case molds/cases showed. Looks white.

I choose to believe. Besides, it's saturday, summer, and believing is FUN.

I don't know why all these images are getting me so excited...I can't buy one until the end of August anyway :D

Only a few more days left *rocks on the spot*

I think its real. I will laugh at all the people saying it is "FAKE!!!" at least say it looks fake you don't know for sure.

The Reflection shows neither the carton and cd but instead a letter which is nowhere in the reflection field of view including the yellowish outer carton box?

Well... just a guess... baybe fake? just a guess.

tablet

my guess this is the rumored tablet. they need one for the stores to show. just like with the air i believe it wasnt available asap. like others have said this looks bigger than the current iphones, its wider and i dont think this can fit comfortably in someones hand. maybe thats why there r so many conflicting reports about what the new iphone will have because the reports r combining the iphone abilities and the tablet abilities and no one knows that

LOL are people actually falling for this? At least the ones posted by Crunchgear were somewhat believable.

The "camera" on the looks like the basic circle brush from photoshop. And this phone looks twice as big as the current iPhone, it looks bigger than the CD!

You folks do realize that would be the image printed on the top of the box holding the iPhone inside it, right? The shrink wrapping is what's giving off the reflections there.

As for those thinking why they'd be doing the "grey" look, it's not grey, it's brushed aluminum, since now all the iMacs are that way, and perhaps... just perhaps they'll be doing away with the white and black Macbooks soon enough as well and adopting the brushed aluminum look for everything across the entire Apple product line. I mean, think about it: does that not make sense to bring every item they sell into line with the same "look"?

We'll see what happens soon enough.

I have no reason to doubt the picture shown in the OP here, I just have doubts that Apple would send out iPhones the way they did. They've never done that before in my experience, and just saying "This item is under an NDA" is like telling a child not to touch something - it's going to happen, the consequences be damned.

Gotta love having a letter inside the box saying "Don't open this package till <whenever>." That's almost as bad as a EULA you can't read till you open the package and install the software that says you shouldn't be installing the software if you don't agree with the terms of the EULA. :)

The website has been officially taken down according to my sources(dont question the gods) so in my opinion it could actually be real and in that case, i think i'll be sick! hope they offer it in black too.

How can this thread still be going?

It must be boredom while waiting for the keynote...

Gotta love it when people make these kinds of posts... I mean, how is it that so many people can be members of this website, which is called:

MacRumors.com

with the subheader:

mac community discussion forums

and then they have the gall to wonder why people post rumors about Macs and Apple and then (*gasp*) discuss them? Can someone explain that one? :D

Why wouldn't the camera look like that? Looks in line, etc. I'm not seeing any crappy photoshop job here. As far as the phone being bigger than the CD, IDK, could be perspective, could be the bigger device we've been hearing about for a long while.

I looked at my iphone box and the plastic tray rim has the same proportions, etc.

Why wouldn't they get delivery like this under the NDA? Anyone want to shoot Pogue an email on this? How else are they to ship a device under NDA then?

I dont believe it. Why is there a cdrom in the box with an apple logo? When was the last apple product that needed a cd with it?

Possible that the giant cardboard box is the whole promotional item box, with a CD to be used on computers in store or something like that, with the actual iPhone and anything meant to be included with that inside the smaller, black box.
