An excellent beer, really smooth and beautifully balanced; I bought a few today, but am currently sipping the "Blonde" from St Feuillien.

Couple from the weekend. The can is Neapolitk by Crooked Run, a stout with strawberry, chocolate, and vanilla. Its a bit sweet but tasty

As winter approaches, I find that sweet and strong beers come into their own.

To be honest, I've had better. Nevertheless, like I said, it made for a fine lunch ;-)
Yes, I had wondered about that, but glad you enjoyed it.
In my experience, the really old reliables, St Bernardus, Trappistes Rochefort, Karameliet, Achouffe, Westmalle, and so on, tend to make the best Belgian beers.
"Brown Ale", I can read, but what word actually precedes "Brown Ale"?
