A "Belgian inspired wheat ale"? Wonderful.

I love German Weissbier, and I love Belgian beer, so this does indeed, sound like a match made in beer Heaven. Mind you, I have never actually tasted a Belgian style wheat beer, but - given their mastery of brewing - I can only imagine that it tastes delicious.

What do you mean when you write "way too boozy"?

The sort of beer where the flavour, or taste, of booze, or alcohol, comes through too strongly?

Yep, exactly - too much of the alcohol, not enough coffee or anything else. It was good, but I'd liked to have a more balanced drink

Thank you for your response.

That - the lack of balance wth the alcohol overpowering the beverage - was one of the problems with some of the highly alcoholic offerings (beers approaching 11%) from Buxton in recent years.

I'm all for high alcohol beers, but, in order to be successful, it does need to be properly balanced.
