Just picked up my new wheels a couple of days ago: a modified Lotus Elise 111s (S2). Car has quite a lot of extras: OZ alloys, Lotus sports suspension, Lotus Stage 1 Exhaust, Close ratio gearbox, HID conversion, Aluminium-belled discs...

Very beautiful car, definitely one of my favorite exotics.

We need a poll

There's a serious number of VERY nice and VERY expensive cars listed in this thread. I think we should have a poll of how many people actually own "their" car.

Wow, lots of Euro posters with Euro only cars here. very cool.

I am too lazy to link, but I have a deep sea blue A4 Wagon Titanium Package 2.0T with a GIAC chip and coilovers.

Meet Johnny (can you spot the link to the name)

I personally classify mine as 'VERY nice', but I agree. Seems rare that there would be that many people on here with those cars...

(BTW, my 'VERY nice' car is a 99 Dodge Intrepid ES :p)

180,000 registered members with, what 2-300 "nice" cars. Doesn't seem that unlikely. And (assuming mine is one of the nice ones), yes I own it. Paid cash. But it wasn't all that expensive (never buy brand new).

My sister's got a fig! A Lapis grey one! Although she's moved to Poland for a year so I've got it.

You didnt buy yours from a dealer in Wanstead by any chance did you? He replaced the distibutor with one from a Nissan Primera, it flies now (esp when you put in Tesco Super Unleaded)

I got mine from a place in Southend, had it for a few years now and it's been fine except for a battery dying on me.

Mind you it will need some work this year, I have left it out of the garage one too many times.

:(

The G8 won't be that similar. Trust me, I've got a toned down Australian version and it's much much better. The old GTO was based on a platform dating back to 1997 whereas the new G8 is quite heavily revised. I find the biggest difference is in the steering precision and ride comfort, to be honest.

Oh really? Thats great to know. I never cared for the steering on the GTO's, but I never noticed the ride comfort that much. My dealer should be getting that G8 in sometime next week. I'm excited to take a look at it; looks gorgeous in pictures.

Would this poll also include who actually owns "their" house?

I really mean the seriously expensive/rare supercars... Bentleys', Rolls', things like that. It's not that hard to get into a (relatively) nice car. When I got mine last Feb. the salesman told me I could be in a $17,000 '04 Jag within 2 years (a car they had on the lot). But I'm just now building my credit. And I agree, never buy new. Unless you're Steve Jobs. lol

Stage 3 audi s4 6 speed manual transmission. It is fast REALLY FAST! 2 turbo's Over 450hp.

I originally thought about the m3 but not the RS4 or C63. Also from the reviews I have read and watch seems as though the m3 is not competing well against the IS-F, RS4, and C63.
Where are you getting your information?

Car and Driver

Motor Trend

They go on and on like that...
It's a great first try for Lexus but... just kind of falls short.
IS-F
Gimmick Rating: 10
Driving Rating: 7.5

Phiberglass, thats a beauty right there. Is the exhaust note perfect? Those exhaust pipes sorta scare me though....

Those actually don't connect to anything :p

Beautiful! I almost bought an A4 1.8T a couple of years ago. (and I kinda regret not buying it now) It was a '99 with only 40k on it, manual transmission, black with cream-colored leather. It wasn't a Quattro, but was still fun to drive and decently quick. (at least compared to the cars I'm used to driving)

You should post some more pics of your S4.

Thank you for the kind words sir. I had 2 a4's before this car. I loved the reliability of them. Here is the S in the murdered out winter mode. Yes, it gets pulled over all the time.

Nice!

It even looks good when it's dirty!

Just for the hell of it, I've attached a pic of that A4 I almost got. It looks like it has a lot of wheel gap, but I believe it was just the way it was sitting.
