sold my 2003 corolla a few months ago and bought myself an 08 altima coupe.

Don't forget the sweet sound of the VR6!

Yeah, I do miss the sound of the VR6. I had the old 2.8L one in my last car. But, the trade-off has been worth it. The new 2.0T FSI motor is more powerful and much better on gas. Mods are also a lot more cost-effective because the car's already a turbo.

I have fallen in love with the new DSG transmission. My last two VWs were manuals and this is the first "automatic" I've driven that I'm actually satisfied with. And my knees get a break. :)

Yeah, they are great engines, as well. I test drove an Audi A4 with the old 1.8T and loved it, so I figure I'd love the 2.0T even more. It's A LOT more powerful than the 1.8T I drove. ('99....150HP?)

I just can't resist the sound of the VR6. I'd LOVE to be able to afford an R32. The next car I get will probably be a plain ol' Golf VR6, but that's fine with me.

As for the DSG, I'm a die-hard manual guy, as well, but I think I'd love the DSG. Hope to test drive one sometime.

Better watch out when you post pictures from a few months ago, Americans get confused and think we still have snow up here..........actually they always think that.

I still really like those older model jettas, the new ones are nice but I still prefer the design of the one you have, the new city jettas don't look as good either they messed the front up.

UMmmm, those pictures were from the first day I had the car, like three weeks ago.
Better yet, the first morning I had the car, April 11 to be exact:

This was when I pulled the motor to put the larger turbos and new fueling kit in the car. It screams. My 0 to 60 is easily high 3's.

It is called Stage 3.

I test drove the DSG GTI. It was fun, but I'm glad I ended up buying the manual.

I'd have to drive 'em both to decide, but if I had my pick, I'd probably HAVE to have the R32 with the DSG. I wouldn't really have a choice with the R32, though, since it's the only transmission offered. I guess I could get a MkIV R32 if I didn't like the DSG.

I just want a VW. :p

I have to say, though, I am happy with my Elantra. It's actually the only car I've had that I've really been happy with.

Not sure if I've posted this before, but this is a pic of my Elantra that I took a few weeks ago at my friend's house. The car was pretty dirty, but oh well, it's a new pic. I need to remember to put an Apple sticker on it the next time I wash it. :p

Don't worry, it'll be tastefully done.

Under 4 seconds 0-60 in a four door saloon?

You kidding?

Nope. Its is a twin turbo 6 speed. With larger turbos. 500hp/525tq.

Yes, stock it was 5.1. Awd doesnt spin it just hooks and goes.

Here is where we were logging the car. I got it in 4.1 but it was really hot out that day. On a cooler day I think the car can with more advancement in the timing and more boost can easily see mid 3's

The s4 is a rs4 conversion and stock (it was a staion wagon/avant). was 4.7 so it is not that far fetched.

Since I'm too lazy to go out and take a photo of my actual car, I'll post of a photo of my model car that I found via Google images. Gotta love Google...

I really like how you kept the stock wheels and look, it's perfect. The only reason i'm staying away from those early S4's are that the turbos have issues, and they can be expensive. YOu fixed that by just putting new bigger ones in.

Perfect car tho.
