Not really. Every modern car senses lower grade gas and changes the engine timing. The engine will run fine, but you just probably get what- 1mpg less and slightly reduced power.

If you're car recommends premium, put premium in it. Even with the sensors, you're not going to go broke spending another $4-6 per fill to put the gas your engine was designed for especially forced induction engines as they do tend to be more picky then NA engines on what octane they are burning. Considering cars these days that use premium are sports cars and luxury vehicles, if you can afford the $50K sticker for the car, you should be able to pay for the gas.

Currently having a respray & new apex seals. 1300cc & 20mpg max :p

I've never seen an Audi Q7 with more than 2 people in it.

Ok, so the reason I went for a Q7 is that I have a large family and I needed 7 seats. Also, I live in the country (as you so rightly pointed out) so 4wd is often useful and sometimes necessary. If I lived in London I would never consider such a car.

For people with larger families and children there is very little choice when it comes to cars. I'm guessing you don't have small children because if you did you would see things differently.

As others have said, it is a bit off to criticize someones choice of car without knowing the circumstances in which it was chosen.

I don't drive a car, only bicycles and tractors :) Am I allowed to post one of the tractors I use ?

Here's my 06:

Not a lot of mods, but hopefully more too come.
Tokico D-Spec adjustable shocks & Struts
Eibach lowering springs
C&L Racer intake and Tune
Pypes O/R H Pipe and Borla Stinger mufflers
And painted all the emblems black.
I'm a Chevy person myself, but damn that this is HOT. The Mustangs (new ones that is) keep calling my name louder and louder each day.

just saw this thread

Here's my car. I've had it for about 4 years and have spent entirely too much money on it.

This is an older picture from this spring but it hasnt been clean since the day i took this one on the way to the track.

Very nice! I'm keen to start doing track days - how did you get started? And what kind of mods have you put on your Beemer?

Nice, I love those model years for the 3 Series.

So do i! it has aged a little bit but i still love it

the silver one which is my street car has a full custom exhaust. Cat-less headers into custom piping, projector headlights with 6k HID bulbs, clear corners, sidemarkers, LED tails, m3 auto folding mirrors, CSL carbon fiber trunk, euro camshafts, custom intake, 19" staggered CSL wheels, bmw performance short shift kit...Since that picture i've also put a new front bumper on and put an alcantara wheel out of a later model 3 series in the car.

Best way to get started is signing up for some driving schools and getting your scca or nasa license. It really depends how far you want to get into tracking your car. If you just want to do it for some weekend fun every once and awhile the drivers schools are great. You get an in-car instructor and they help you with everything. You can still do the drivers schools without instructors as well though.

What kind of car are you thinking about tracking?

My Car is a 2001 Mercedes Benz ML 320,
nothing special besides how it loves gas, low gas milage, and takes octane 91 only.

^^^ Wow! Those all really yours? Mind asking what you do for a living?

I've never been a big Supra fan... let alone an import fan. Honestly, I've always found them too boring or too riced-out. But that's a gorgeous car you have there.
