My guess would be a very unbalanced car. Those rotary engines are light. Dropping in a heavy v8 has to mess up the driving dynamics of the car, though there's probably no doubt it's fast.

My guess is you have no idea what you are talking about. The all aluminum LS1 weighs very close to the iron-blocked rotary motor, minus turbos, intercooler, etc. The weight balance is actually closer to 50/50 because the LS1s weight is concentrated further back towards the firewall. Put simply, 400rwhp in a 2700lb with 50/50 weight distribution = a wicked awesome track beast. :D

Here is a weight comparison of a Stock RX7 and an LS1 RX7, both cars with the same interior options.

Wait what??? LS1 in a rx7??? Tell me more about this.

Pretty easy project really. Cammed LS1 with longtubes, otherwise stock LS1. 391rwhp.

That location looks familiar, is that Nederland, CO?

Not sure of the actual town name, its just outside Boulder. I parked next to that lake/dam and did a little hike while visiting Boulder. I live in St Louis and that Durango has made the trip to CO, usually Keystone/Breckenridge, more times than I can count. :p

Woah i forgot about this thread!
Welll as much as i love my beautiful Audi and the feeling of driving a car, i need more of a utility vehicle and just miss sitting up high and kinda feeling like "The Boss".
And when it comes to me, style beats my wallet and sometimes thats not a good thing but in this case, say hello to my new 2007 Cadillac Escalade ESV!

My mom wanted an ESV so bad... and I wanted her to get one to match my Seville. However, the price of one is outrageous (even with employee pricing). However, we're happy with our Denali XL.

That's why I said MY GUESS. I never said I knew exactly what I was talking about. Just an educated guess based on comparing a 1.3l rotary to a 5.7l v8. If they are that close in weight, I'm surprised and find it very interesting. No need to get defensive about it.

I don't see it as that. He was correcting your uninformed post with facts. Sometimes people are too quick to post comments, and then take things too personally when they are corrected. ;)

Well I just got my first car...a 2008 Ford Escape...at over 30 MPG highway, I will take this anyday for a first car! Leather seats inside and some other stuff, here is a pic from Ford...

:( Bad trade-in value ??!!

Don't get the 328i. The 3.0l i6 twin turbo is a big part of what makes the car so great. :p Non-convertible 335i > convertible 328i.

I went to Carmax today to get my 2008 Honda Accord EX-L Coupe appraised.
They gave me a sucky $20,500 wholesale value quote.:eek:

It's almost a brand new car with just 5000 miles on it. I had paid approx $30,000 for it out-of-door... I am planning to get a 335i Coupe/Convertible. Yet to try the dealer for a trade-in.. no responses from Craigslist post yet
I am not sure if the dealer (BMW/Honda from where I bought this car) would offer me more than Carmax.
Any suggestions ?

How is that stupid? I'm glad such an agressive stance is being taken. I'm a 21 year old male with what will be a decently quick car who lives in VA and i'm glad something is being done. Between idiotic drunk teenagers, elderly people who shouldnt be at the wheel, to just freak accidents, there are enough dangers of the road as it is.

Keep it on the track. If there isn't one close by/you cant afford it, find a new hobby.

Isn't it going to kick your wallet's ass everytime you fill it up with gas? What's that damage like? ouch. Looks nice though.

The damage is bad, gas is 3.89$ and cost me around 100$ to fill my
ginormous 28 gallon tank. But DAMN do i look good drving it! :D

Presenting, the Obama:Mobile™

You think this is more stylish than the Escalade?

And explain how it has more utility, being smaller and less powerful...The Escalade is built on a fullsized frame, can tow and haul. What can an Element do that the Escalade cant, besides get better mpg?
