I had a mishap with my 1 year old ipad yesterday resulting in a cracked screen. I replaced my ipad thanks to Applecare+. I am using the Incipio back shell that snaps in the Apple Smartcover so I'm looking into other options.
I had dented corners from other smaller mishaps so I knew this case wasn't protecting the corners.

Pictures of your iPad case or protection

If you want protection that survivor case is one of the best. I have one on my iPad and love it. Comes with a removable stand and built in screen protector as well. My only suggestion is not buying at a retail store it's 100 bucks at Walmart and like 30-40 bucks on eBay and amazon. It does add bulk but I like it as it gives me more to grab and again this level of protection is worth it especially if you have kids. Form factor isn't an issue for me. What good is a paper thin I pad anyway your not shoving it in your pocket it will always go in a back or just be carried.

Carbon fiber and smart case

Would not change my combo for nothing. I just love it and protects all around. Dunno if I'm a bit OCD but underneath my carbon fiber back I have invisible shield skin just in case lol

This is the Bowden by my small startup, FineGrain. (shameless self-promotion)

It provides ruggedly handsome protection, but allows you to still take advantage of the aesthetics and ergonomics of the iPad during use.

Ruggedly handsome? You certainly got the cheezy marketing lingo down.

Haha, a writer that featured our cases used that term and we thought it was a pretty good way of describing the case.

Just put the finishing touches on my Hitchhiker's Guide smart cover and back case. See my sig for details.

For my home automation controller (ipad 3)

So I use an ipad 3 as my control for a home automation system i recently had installed, does lights, audio, tv, and security. I wanted something I could mount on a table that:
a) looked good
b) was secure (especially for parties/social events)
c) I wouldn't knock over

I looked around on amazon and found a couple i liked, but ultimately decided on this one:

It wasn't overbudget, especially since I wanted something that i could use in the long-term.
Great for any home system, or concievably an office or store.

This is just a snap on rear shell about like the belkin, but the pic is cool.

The Invellop on my mini is really nice, and also has the wake up feature. I have it for my IPad and mini both.
