This quote is from a previous post. The photos in this post are of my new favorite case from Invellop.

The case is the Griffin Intellicase. At this point, I'm having second thoughts about recommending it. Initially I really liked this case. However, I noticed some defects in the original pink case and the replacement case was also defective. Then the red case that I've been using for only one week is showing signs of wear. The part of the cover that rests in the back slot is mushing out and almost looking frayed.

So for right now, I continue to search for a better case.

In my search, at this point the Invellop is my favorite. Another pink case but this one is definitely not bright pink but a much more pastel in fake leather. Actually I do really like the fake leather. This case is very well made and thus far really like it. I'll update again later if my opinion changes like it did after my Griffin cases started usually showing poor wear.

my otter box:

I do have the white bezel but at my current location I feel the more protection the better. I have added an anti glare screen as well. When I return stateside I will hardly use this case. In it's place will be a simple Smart Cover (leather maybe light tan).

Sorry, but Ewwww.....fugly!
Again, so sorry! Pls ignore my comment but I just wanted to get it out. Ewwww...

Sorry! I'll shut up now.

It's certainly not elegant, but calling it fugly goes beyond being subjective. Did you post your setup se we can criticize it with zero tact as well?

now that I am not in a rough environment i don't have a case, just a leather smart cover. the otter box was for protection, not looks.

My iPad 1 had an Otterbox Defender, so this time I wanted something lighter. Went with the dark grey Smart Cover with black iCarbons strips, black iCarbons back sticker with the white Apple, ZUM SC Ultimate in Frost, and one of Bleh's strips.

I today found a Tech 21 base case in a very similar colour to the grey smart cover. It's superb the corner protection and durability of the Tech 21+ D30 is unreal. It's hard to get into place at first but when it's on it's fantastic. Incipio Smart Feather Case Red + Apple Smart Cover Leather Red

Incipio Smart Feather Case - http://www.amazon.com/Incipio-Smart-feather-Ultralight-Shell/dp/B004ZKP7KO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1337614219&sr=8-1

Apple Smart Cover in Leather Red

The smart feather case as a lip that reinforces the magnetic attachment. Even vertical mode if I push against the iPad, the iPad was more likely to tip over by rotation than from magnetic detachment. It does a stellar job of keeping the Smart Cover attached at all times. The lip on the Incipio case only covers the magnetic bar of the Smart Cover, in other words I am able to completely fold the Smart Cover back flat. The Incipio case covers all 4 corners which many cases neglect to cover at all. The red color of the Smart Case matches the color of the Incipio case as seen from the side angle shot. The Apple logo is also visible through the case. When I took my iPad in for a screen issue, the Apple store employee actually commented on the sharp look of the combination and asked where did I get that red back. All in all, a great combo and the Incipio case was free after rewards points. The Apple Smart Cover was $69 .

I just received this M-edge Trench Runner Jacket in gray. It looks very rugged and durable in person if a little bulky. The mounting system along with multiple viewing angles make it invaluable for reading or watching movies. My only complaints are that it isn't a smart cover, the stitching is a little messy in places, and that in order to rotate it you have to physically pry the mount off of the case which is very stiff and rigid and then it is somewhat difficult to align it and get it to pop back in place.

Awesome, we have the same set up :D. In my opinion, the red on red looks great.

Heres my tried and true for the time being. Devicewear Union shell in frost and grey Smart Cover. Super slim combo with just enough protection.

i hate cases, i'm pretty OCD when it comes to those but i dont want scratches either so i'm simply using the blue/red smart cover combined with this when i'm on the move.

My set-up isn't anything uncommon, but I really like the extra magnet on my Incase back cover on my Ipad 3.It gives the smart cover one extra position which I really like(last pic).......
