So I bought this cool fisheye lens Saturday, delivered Sunday (I love amazon prime), the Moment 14mm. Such a great lens and sharp. I like the fact that I can attach the lens over the wide lens (f/1.8) and use it for night mode. The native 14mm on the iPhone is of poor quality at night or in dark locations. So, here are some samples from the Moment 14mm... I can focus so close, the small blooms on the branch was taken with the lens about an inch away.

Cool, can you share the amazon link?

This was one of my best attempts of night shots with all automatic settings.

Night mode handheld in Australia in summer. Around 35°C boiling heat -

Night mode with tripod in freezing cold -7°C with strong wind in Iceland while chasing the northern lights. 15 seconds exposure.

Alas there were very low activity in the earth’s magnetic field so we didn’t see any lights even with clear sky.

Night mode with tripod in freezing cold in -5°C with mild wind in Iceland while trying our luck to chase the northern light on the second day. 30 seconds exposure.

Bear in mind, all of these pictures were taken in pitch black conditions ideal for northern lights viewing. The only light source was a faint moon.

I’m so impressed with what can be achieved with these tiny sensors. Especially with all the settings being in auto. Next attempt will be with manual settings and raw images.

Ps. Don’t know why in the exif data the shot with 15 seconds shows as 0.5 exposure and 30 seconds one shows as 1.0 ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

yes.... you’ll need to buy a moment lens phone case for your iPhone though. Once you have it, all moment lenses will fit

I rarely take photos but I was downtown San Antonio. So I thought I'd give my 11 Pro Max a try.

I've only had it since January.

Wow, you rarely take photos??? Then why get the iPhone 11 Pro Max? Just the regular 11 would have worked for you I’m sure. The 11 pro was designed for photography and to see that you aren’t taking advantage of the cameras on a daily basis seems to be a overkill purchase.

I mean, there are plenty of other reasons a person would want the 11 Pro Max over the 11.

100% I overkilled. Reason being I was done with battery charger cases, portable batteries, and having to keep a charger with me all the time. I'll be keeping this phone a while.
