This shot is probably unimpressive to most, but anyone who’s familiar with The Haunted Mansion ride at Walt Disney World knows just how dark this attraction is.

This particular scene is nearly pitch black to the human eye AND you’re in motion inside a ride vehicle. I’ve attempted this very shot with my Nikon D750 + Sigma 35mm f/1.4 numerous times and never walked away with anything this sharp or clean. It’s absolutely insane that this type of photography is now possible on a camera phone.

This was shot in RAW (stock camera app) and edited in Lightroom mobile.

WTF, if you had told me this image was taken with an older pro camera I would believe you. I honestly find the natural noise/grain to be so pleasant on pictures taken with the iPhone, there's something so warm and inviting about it; feels like looking at an older film camera shot.

What makes this special? It’s just a street! It’s basically pitch black. The whole street is clear and you can even see individual stars. Not just a bright blob or two but heaps. Amazing. I need to take some more interesting shots. Some crackers in this thread!

I have upgraded from the XS Max to the 12 PM and decided to shoot some pictures side by side to see where are the improvements.

All pictures below are taken straight from the camera app without any editing.

On some pictures, I noticed that the pictures taken with the 12 PM are more yellow than the XS Max.

In Portrait mode, the 12 PM gives much better results by far

Using the telephoto (2.5X in the 12 PM and 2x in the XS Max)

Low light conditions (night mode off). There are more details on the 12 PM pictures and they are less blurry
