Yes, got the so-called kiss of death email on my Sis-in-law's pink sport just a short while ago. :( I won't see her until the 29th so I'm hoping her watch arrives before then if it's not coming by Friday.

I wonder what the story is on the pink sport band production.

I can't help but feel like if not a single one of us on here has had any movement on our watches then it is probably the same for anyone else (not on this forum) who ordered this watch. So if that is the case and we don't get our watches on Friday then why on Earth did Apple put 4/24 in the range?!?! If it was a known issue and they didn't make any freaking watches then why include it at all!? That's being deceptive if they included it when it wasn't ever possible.

If that is not the case and instead it was something that occurred between April 10th and now (like an issue with the band or whatever...maybe it randomly explodes after a few hours or something :p) if that's the case then they should have communicated with us that there was an issue with the band so we could change our orders a long time ago! OR even tell us now that there isn't a single pink watch made and allow us to cut in line where we would have been anyway had we ordered a different watch. (Granted there's definitely flaws with that as other people waited in line too and this wasn't their fault).

Anyways yeah I'm just generally angry with how this preorder has gone.

I am tempted to go back through this thread and drink a shot of whiskey for every time you use this emoji:  From this thread alone I think I'd forget I even have a sister-in-law, let alone ordered her a pink sport watch. Hell, I think I'll be seeing pink elephants I could give her for her birthday instead! :D

Sigh...I don't know what I could have done differently since that was the one watch she really fell in love with. We risked our own places in line to order hers first. My husband gave up his chance at his first choice, which was the 42 mm Space Grey Sport, so he could get this for his sister. He's been a bit put off by the whole Apple Watch experience ever since.

Goodness...what could have happened with the pinks? And I really wonder what the heck happened with the modern buckle bands, period, not just the watches. I guess their special tannery ran out of finished leather.

I didn't get the email of death, but wonder if it's because the shipping date on mine was may 12-26.
The pink band thing is frustrating, not a single pink order appears to have had movement anywhere online. I acted in typical British fashion and wrote a disgruntled email to Uncle Tim. He won't respond, but it made me feel a little better.

Greetings pink sport banders, I come from the lowely space black SS link thread. You guys aren't the only ones who have seen absolutely no movement yet.

I believe this is just because we have the two least popular models and are last priority for processing. I'm confident that some of you who have the 4/24 range shipping will definitely be getting yours on Friday.

Maybe a little hope for you guys? This thread is miserable

I do like those emoji ##

Just another in the camp with no movement on the 42mm Sport w Pink Band.

My 42mm Sport w Green band has gone to preparing to ship, my partners pink one has no activity – she got her order in the first minute, I got mine two or three later.

Frustrating, but we're remaining hopeful! Maybe early next week! We're in Australia too, if that helps anyone else feel at ease.

Chill out. Like ZPr13st, I've come over from the SS Space Black thread. Apple gave you a date RANGE of 24th April - 8th May. They have not misguided you or lied to you.

They just said you will get it in that time frame, nothing more, nothing less.

Also, as others have mentioned it looks like they are working through orders in terms of how popular the item was. So the ones with the most orders (black or white & space gray sports) went first, then some of the SS models and now we are seeing charges for the normal SS Link.

Looks like the Pink Sport and SS Space Black Link haven't sold as many as the others did, hence they are being processed later.

This makes perfect sense from a logistical standpoint. Get the main bulk of the orders out first so you can please 80% of the people out there quickly, then focus on the smaller orders and get them out as quick as possible, but if it's not out by launch day, then for them it's ok, because they never guaranteed you a watch on launch day. Just that you would get one within a 2 week window.

This just came with the wife's order number

Woke up and see the same email sent 11:07pm yesterday. My sport white shipped five hours ago delivery due Tomorrow. Would be so disappointed that couldn't send heartbeat to each other tomorrow.

This does suck, but since they're saying people in the 4/24-5/08 batch WILL get theirs in that time frame, there's hope that they mean it!

:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
(those are for the person who said they were going to drink for every  in here!)

+1 to the kiss of death email column. Got the dreaded email last night at 10.

----------

What is the kiss of death email

Its an email from apple telling you what you already know. Says they are working on your order, it will be delivered between 4/24-5/8, and they will send you an email when it ships.

People here are more upset probably because many can accept a white one which most are shipped and swap to pink from Apple if they really want pink since rumors that this can be done.

Any movement?

Any movement for anyone?

Ordered a 38mm Pink at 3:01 EST, Delivery date of 4/24-5/8, Michigan

Status is still processing.

I've yet to receive the kiss of death email.

Boyfriend's watch which is a 42mm blue is scheduled to ship tomorrow. WHOMP WHOMP!

going to give them a call this morning, and see what is going on. I understand the window says -5/8 but other people who ordered way after me and had a 4-6 week window are getting shipment notifications. So thats why im upset. I am hoping we see some movement today , but it seems to be isolated to us Pink band users..which sucks ASS

<<crickets>>

This is so disappointing and disheartening. I realize I'm incredibly fortunate I have the money to buy the watch and I realize I'm very lucky to be in the first wave (hopefully), but this is my first time being a early adopter for a brand new Apple product and the experience has been less than stellar. One of the worst things about this is that people that originally had a 4-6 week window are getting shipment notifications and could very well get their watch before me.

I set my alarm clock to wake up at 3:01 EST so that I could order the watch as quickly as I could so that I could have one of the very first Apple Watches on April 24, Launch Day. The fact that it is the day before launch and my order is still processing just stinks. I would have thought that even after paying the money I did, as early as I did, Apple would have provided great customer service in response.

I suppose when you're a successful corporate business like Apple, it doesn't really matter if you ignore and piss off a small portion of people. What matters to them is they take care of the most "important" and "popular" orders first. I wish companies wouldn't do that. They have to stay in business somehow though I guess! :(

Yeah the wait I wouldnt mind if I knew that the pink bands actually existed, but at this point it feels like they were never going to be a launch day option. Had I known that I would have liked the option to choose a different band.

They say they're shipping them as they become available. It appears as though the pink bands are not available yet, or weren't available as early as the others. It sucks. I bet they'll start shipping tomorrow or next week though.

What makes it worse is the whole band swapping thing that apple is now offering. I think all the pinks on here would have happily gotten a white and then swapped their band with pink or whatever color later.

Same stupid email

Between this and the iPhone 6+ pre order I'm not staying up late again to do this, I've never gotten a release day product by staying up late.

I honestly don't think they made any

It makes me so angry that they are so happy to announce that they are shipping out watches sooner than expected to some that thought they were going to get them in May or June. Seriously? Why not concentrate on first come first serve

Because it is poor customer service and bad inventory management to sit on products you have in order to wait to fulfill an earlier order for something you don't have available.

I'm in the June window for a pink sport band watch that's intended as a Mother's Day gift.

Ugh

Boyfriend that ordered a 42mm BLUE just had his status change from "Preparing to Ship" to "Shipped-Signature Required". He will be getting it tomorrow.... UGH
