I’ve been toying with a leather case and I have used Burkley in the past but the additional thickness and weight on the ProMax may be a bit much.
The Burkley is a very nice case, but like you said it does add thickness and bulk to the phone. It’s always a compromise depending which way you go.

The Air is very minimal including the lip. If you want screen protection it may not be right for your use.

But with no screen protector can you put the phone face down with the Air? I’m tempted to get the Air, but I do like to put my phone face down. Thanks.

does anyone know if the magnets in the pitaka magez will help it stick to the belkin magsafe car mount?

I just got the Air. Without a screen protector, the lip is high enough to put the phone face down without the screen touching. If you want, I can take a couple pictures of it later tonight.

That would be awesome. Thanks so much.

Pay no attention to all that dust. The phone is a dust magnet. Hopefully these help. The second one was overexposed on purpose to get it to stand out against the blue. The case is obviously black.

Just figured I’d post this. I got the Air delivered from Amazon earlier in the week. I had to order a replacement and send the first one back. The top left corner would slip right off with barely any effort. The replacement they sent is much better.
On paper, the specs between the MagEZ and the Air seem like it’s not a big difference. You can definitely tell a difference if you switch between the two. My preferred one is the Air. They are both nice, though.

How strong does the MagSafe charger attach with the Air case? Planning on jerry rigging one in the car, only needs to support the weight of the 12 mini.
it might hold the 12 mini, as the magsafe charger can hold the 12 PM, though any movement makes it fall off.

its decent will work for stuff like the belkin 3 in 1 charger etc but not strong enough for the car mount at least with the 12 pro max

Not sure what’s the problem? Just took it for you. 12 pro max with pitaka air

I have both the MagEZ and Air and both have no issue with the cord plugged in.

I did read reports of some early buyers having issues but Pitaka replaced the cases and the newer run does not appear to have the issue.

Using the Air now as it is appreciably thinner and lighter than the EZ.

I ordered both, too, and ended up keeping the Air case for my Gold 12 PM and returned the MagEZ case.

The reason why I preferred the Air case is because of its feel in the hand, weight, and ultra-thin profile. I don’t use any other Pitaka accessories, so the MagEZ case was never a preference.

In my option, the Air case is worth the extra money.

I had order3d both and have to agree with every single sentence of this post. I had The same exact experience with my cases and ended up keeping the air. I also did have a slight issue with the charging port. The case kept the cable from seating fully against the phone. The gap was very minimal and it still charged. I contacted their customer service and they promptly sent me a new one that is 100% perfect. I didn’t even have to send the old one back or anything. Like I said, it was just a small gap but the airs are pricey so I expect a perfect case for the price.
@cub4bearin, @Radeon962, @BlackHawk00,@Yandawg question for you all, do these cases scratch your phone's? I'd imagine the hard cases would scratch the hell out of 'em, especially if grit were to get in. I've always steered away from these type of cases. Just curious

I returned the Air for my 12 PM because I didn't like the exposed buttons. Much happier with Apple's silicone case.

I haven’t noticed any scratching. But also, due to the current circumstances I am only leaving my house once a week...lol. I don’t know if it has seen any dust or dirt yet. Sorry I am not a better candidate for an appropriate response...lol

Not that I noticed. It’s not rigid like hard plastic so that may help but I also don’t take it off very often.

It’s thin enough that I actually like the Pro Max more with the Air Case on than naked. The slight bevel of the edges softens it up when holding the phone one handed.

Thank you both for the info, I'll have to check them out

I was wondering about that. I may just stick with their MagEZ case for now. I’ve been switching between that and a Burkley leather case at the moment. They are both really nice.
Is the MagEZ case easy to put on and take off? I previously had a snug carbon fiber case, and it was very tough to take off. Always worried it might scratch the sides..

My MagEZ case fits much more tighter than the Air does. You have to use a little bit of force for it to come off of one of the corners. I don’t think it would be possible to have the case come off if the phone was dropped. My Air is pretty easy to get a corner to come off. Not much pressure at all.

Does anyone use a magsafe stand with pitaka air? Does it hold strongly? Would you recommend it for a magsafe car charger?
