Width of the phone isn't an issue for me, it's the height. Whatever reason I don't like long phones, but don't mind a wider profile (up to a point). My hands are large enough to use all of these, just not super comfortable.

No issues 1-handing an iPad mini.
Be curious to see the screens in person before I make a decision on how good or bad the 6 is. Bezel width is, was, and likely will remain a "meh" topic for me. I don't mind them, there is value in being able to hold a device in a way that won't cause spurious inputs, or grip prints on the viewable portions of the glass.
Regarding screen quality, The 6 is 1080p in effect only, the resolution is actually 1080 x 2400 at 411ppi, which is higher pixel density than the iPad mini, a device I edit photos on daily and haven't had any of my edited shots kicked back to me by my editor yet. I think the cheap screen on the 6 will be fine for me (personally).
Hoping color accuracy is at or near Apple level, I would love to have the option to edit / work in the field from this phone and not rely on my iPad mini all the time. Both trump the iPhone, they have USB-C which my Cameras use.
It is great we have choices in our phones, I still wish Google stuck with feature parity between the large and smaller models, but historically the XL phones always had better screens than the regular Pixel. Well, when the XL screens actually worked correctly
😉 .
