Amuse yourselves a little can forward on a few spots

Saw on Reddit that a lot of people are all of a sudden having their delivery dates pushed back. Might be worth checking to see if you are one of the people affected.

Luckily I'm still showing Oct 27th.

I checked out the new Pixels at Best Buy. I definitely preferred the feel of the regular 6 over the Pro, and I preferred the matte sides as well. The bezels are fine on the 6, too; they look much bigger in pictures. They didn't bother me at all IRL. I'm excited to get the 6!

This video sample from an AT&T employee that had a Pixel 6 Pro at his store looks pretty good to me.

The zoom while videoing is smooth and stable. the colors do not look oversaturated or blown out to me anyway.

*soon to be ex employee.

The colour of the sky looks fake and I'm surprised people can't see how over saturated the whole video looks. Certainly not a keeper if stills look like that.

I thought video looked good there. Some oversaturation and a little stutter when zooming, but I didn't notice any artifacts, audio was clean, and stabilization was great.

Anyone know if I’ll be able to return the 13 pro I ordered and swap for a 6 pro and still get the 1000 trade in Verizon promised me?

Those in the US or other places where the Pixel A buds are bundled... Are you going to keep your buds?
I imagine a lot of you already have headphones so wondered if you were going to keep, or sell on. The Buds 2 I had when I had a 4XL earlier in the year worked really nicely together. Like I said a few posts ago, I’m considering picking up some A Buds to use exclusively with my Pixel 6, but wondered what those getting them free were planning.

Same guy posted a new video of 4k output on youtube. The colors look much better.

I think people should reserve judgment until monday and when they receive the phone themselves. Too many premature speculations and opinions.

Hoping the new gcam update helps as well.
Yeah that looks more like I’m now used to. I didn’t mind the shiny happy world look either. I didn’t mind my Samsung videos. As long as the audio is good, I am good. It means a lot to me to hear the sounds in stereo. It makes me sad to watch old videos of the kids when they were toddlers and the sound is so poor. Because now I know this technology can reproduce sound very well. I can’t help wishing we had it just a few years earlier.

I thought the audio was very good.

In case anyone missed the free pixel bud a’s.

Oh that’s wonderful news. My husband missed his. Thanks for sharing that.

@Aneres11 yes I’ll be keeping and using mine. My AirPods Pro are not good at connecting. I have problems with them. I thought they were broken despite not getting that much use. My Samsung buds are good. But I prefer to give each phone their own earbuds to pair with.

I tried to answer that question in the thread you created. No one can answer that but Verizon. However, I can tell you that you might be highly disappointed in the answer they give you. It’s because the Pro 6 is $899 and no way will they give you more in trade for what the 6 Pro is worth. That would mean you have credit due if they give you $1000 trade in on a $900 phone.

As an example, Google gave me $165 trade in for my Pixel 4a towards the Pixel 6 and they would give me an extra $20 if I bought the 6 Pro. So that’s what you will probably be looking at. Trade in prices are typically based on what the MSRP of the phone you want to buy.

The final call will be Verizon as to what trade in price they agree to give you.

I think I’m going to keep my set. Working from home, I burn through AirPods on conference calls, so a spare set would be nice.

Still can’t believe what I thought would be a few weeks working from home will be longer than two years before we’re back in the office!

My date moved up, I ordered late as I was on the fence, and planning on another phone. But canceled the other phone and ordered one of these 6 Pro's.

I happened to be at my local mall and decided to drop into Best Buy, out of curiosity, and see if they had any Pixel 6 display models. Luckily for me, they put them out this morning, so I was able to get my grubby hands on both the Pro and non-Pro models.

Coming from a 2016 iPhone SE, both phones felt huge in my hands and there's nothing in it really between the two sizes. Both are very well made - much better than the Pixel 4a Best Buy also had on display.

To me, the big differences between the two were the cameras. The Pro's 20X zoom is mighty impressive. I was able to read labels on products that were on display isles away. Also, the eraser mode on both phones works very well. I was quickly able to 'erase' subjects from photos and the phone's IA was good at filling in where the subject was.

An iPhone SE going up to a Pixel 6 Pro, wow LOL that'd be a massive difference.

Size and OS are so radically different.

I love Moment cases. I’m glad they made one for the Pixel. I checked their site but it wasn’t up at the time I looked.

Wow check out the portrait mode shots on the pixel. Sooo goooood!

iPhone is acting more like a real camera. So in that respect they all did a good job. But the Pixel did the job we would want our front camera to do when our friends are supposed to be in the picture. I’m often frustrated at group selfies with people slightly behind the person holding the camera getting very blurry.
