In terms of code, we have two proof of concepts that we need to merge and polish, so we will not be ready to release until that and testing.
sounds like we will have to wait

Yep, 6.1 is safe!!!!!
Does this mean we should update our phones to 6.1? Or hold off until something's more official. I don't want to have a 6.1 jailbreak and then Apple releases 6.1.1 near immediately and stops delivering 6.1.I miss my JB...it's been 4 months (like most of you, I'm sure). Hope it works on the iPad Mini too.

Remember to do a 6.1 install from iTunes and not OTA.
Why is that?
Because the OTA saves shsh blobs differently than and iTunes install. They haven't tested the OTA update. Why is that?
Less chance of errors when JB.

Lol why? Can someone else give details about this? Just made the update on air.

But this means we need to do full restore anyway. Like it doesn't matter if we did it on air, we would have to do a full restore anyways.![]()
Im not sure why, but one of the evad3rs tweeted a few times about it. "Make sure to do a full restore in itunes"

To be safe, you always shut do a full restore (I even like to DFU mode, but probably not necessary) before jailbreaking. Just ensures you have a "clean" system.
You don't want to screw things up and have to restore only to find you can't restore to 6.1, but 6.1.1 or an update that patched the jailbreak.
