Awesome news, miss my jailbreak apps very much. Thanks in advance guys!

Sounds like most people agree that it will be Sunday at the earliest (this week is going to take forever)

question..so you guys know how in order to restore a 4S from 5.1.1 to 5.1.1 you had to have arrived on 5.1.1 via iTunes restore and not OTA or iTunes update? Should we update to 6.1 via restore for this same reason (correct ramdisk image type) ? that way after a jailbreak and we wanted to put a fresh 6.1 for whatever reason & re-jailbreak, we'd have the best chance to do so?

Sorry that was actually 3 questions

Does this mean we should update our phones to 6.1? Or hold off until something's more official. I don't want to have a 6.1 jailbreak and then Apple releases 6.1.1 near immediately and stops delivering 6.1. :) I miss my JB...it's been 4 months (like most of you, I'm sure). Hope it works on the iPad Mini too. :)

I'm going to update to 6.1 through iTunes tonight.

It's safe, MN confirmed it.

Remember to do a 6.1 install from iTunes and not OTA.

Doesn't matter?

Lol why? Can someone else give details about this? Just made the update on air.

But this means we need to do full restore anyway. Like it doesn't matter if we did it on air, we would have to do a full restore anyways. :)

Their might be some unknown factors that might effect the JB, just restore from iTunes when you get a chance. Why wait to see if you get any errors when it comes time to JB, then if there are any you'll have to restore anyway lol.

Im not sure why, but one of the evad3rs tweeted a few times about it. "Make sure to do a full restore in itunes"

Full restore? Restore and then set up as new or from backup? Or just update using iTunes? Would like to avoid a restore if possible.

To be safe, you always shut do a full restore (I even like to DFU mode, but probably not necessary) before jailbreaking. Just ensures you have a "clean" system.

You don't want to screw things up and have to restore only to find you can't restore to 6.1, but 6.1.1 or an update that patched the jailbreak.

My update time went from 45 minutes to 94 minutes -______-
