I did see that FlightAware and FlightRadar24 previously called it a "742", but I just looked now it it does state that the next UPS99 is a 744 from ANC to SDF on FlightRadar24.
Ah just have regular FlightAware free account and app. What is flight aware 24 a paid account? Ok the change shows on my flight aware also now

Mine was charged today (4th to 11th Oct slot), moved to preparing to ship and now it has been shipped! Have the same problem as someone else though, dpd shows that the package was already delivered on Feb 5th. Hopefully it updates at some point so that I know when I need to be at home to receive the phone!

Mine just switched to Preparing to ship. My wife's was delivered (UPS rang the bell but didn't ask for a signature) mid day last Friday and my son's (didn't ring the bell just left it on the porch) arrived late Friday. I thought in the past I always had to sign for the phones.

Yes,i do pay for the FlightRadar24, i fly (as an airline passenger) a lot and also we watch various routes over our city that are fun to be able identify.

i just watched our final approach and landing in the 3D mode. Hopefully the landing was a bit smoother than the image implies.

My wife's was dropped off on Friday when no one was home. I think it's the first iPhone that's made it to our house in some years as I prefer to drive to the local UPS CC to pick up our phones rather than sitting around waiting.

I called UPS earlier and they will hold my iPhone tomorrow for me to pickup when I drive my son to school. I really appreciate the quiet and ease of picking it up there rather than waiting at home or braving the local Apple Store to get my phone. Of course, I usually get it on launch day and a certain Apple Card "bug" delayed my order enough that I got the dreaded Oct 6-11 delivery date. :😁:

I also was traveling over the launch weekend, so my ritual wouldn't have been in play anyway this year. But when I did get home on Monday I was allowed by my wife to set up her new phone for my use until my phone arrives- over the weekend my expectation was that I might get it on Monday, or Tuesday, or as we've seen in this thread I might not get it until later in October. The phone is beautiful and fast, and so far Macro photos are my favorite fun thing to do. I'll look into video stuff a bit later when I get my own phone.

Here's a photo of a utility pole I shot in Macro and edited with Oilist.app as a Van Gogh Passion inspired wallpaper. I love to make these as they really show off the beautiful OLED screen of these phones!

That's great as I'm still on processing in the Oct 11 - Oct 18 Crew & you are the second post I've read, that had movement from processing. Keep us posted as it seems you're first out of the block.
I rarely miss the launch day orders, but usually watch the progression of how Apple meets their delivery dates after I get my phone. In previous years Apple/UPS have done well to beat their delivery estimates given to the preorders that missed launch day delivery. This is a slightly different world these days with pandemics and chip shortages. But assuming I do pick up my phone tomorrow my delivery will be one week earlier than they initially predicted.

BTW SpecB, I love the heel and toe of your avatar!!! I love driving Ferrari 330 P4 and various late 70's Longtail Porsches on the pre-chicanes Le Mans track (on my sim rig, obviously!). Fun to heel and toe on various parts of that track from well over 200mph to less than 50mph with steel brakes and manual gear shifts!

Our batch of phones arrived in Anchorage on UPS99. It is scheduled to continue to Louisville in less than 2 hours.

I do hope you get that phone in your hand tomorrow.

Appreciate the shoutout on the Avatar, as driving is an art & I've tried to learn as much as I can from the likes of Colin McRae & Sebastian Loeb.
Feeling the response (car speaking back to you) is something that an EV will never be able to give. :)

Wow, nice! Meanwhile, mine started tracking on 9/24, and it’s still sitting in China and hasn’t been released by the government. Just gotta check daily and wait.
Yep pretty much same experience each year especially when one does not get opening day they seem to be more spread in batches from each other. I had my order in shortly after 5 past opening preorders with my preapproval (took that long to get into store and I slipped to 10/6 to 10/11. I suppose they are working through orders now in some kind of sequence as they were received but I am totally guessing. Stores get some also and such and the logistics of that must be a nightmare

For those of the 10/6 to 10/11 group that got out of China today through Korea on UPS99 arrived at Anchorage mid day we left 02:53PM AKDT and (departed scan at 2:35) we should be in Louisville by a bit past midnight EDT — 12:38AM EDT more precisely but the flight is 16 minutes early so could be sooner.. Hopefully more of this group will see batches shipping over next few days
