Go to the UPS website (not the app) and log in to MyChoice. Go to the tracking page and choose Track by Reference. Use your phone number, no dashes, for the reference, and your country and zip code. That should bring up tracking info from China. If phone number doesn't work, try your Apple order number minus the last digit.
Yep, that's probably it. Your status on the Apple site won't change to "Shipped" until the phone clears customs in Louisville, but you can track it long before that with UPS.
Still said coming Tuesday the 28 but tracking ended with leaving China not sure where it is.
The only difference on UPS app is it doesn’t say check tomorrow I would expect to see the clearance of customs soon at Louisville maybe tomorrow. Says scheduled delivery at 2-6 PM last item on tracking is

Thats two and a half days ago China time. Given the number of UPS planes coming and going from Anchorage Alaska to Louisville Ky I bet lots of phones are coming for orders and stores
My UPS app says the same thing now, no longer say check back tomorrow, giving me an afternoon delivery on Tuesday. Nice change from the October 6-11 timeframe!
In previous years I have purchased a phone for a local store pickup on the Apple Store app when my launch day order was several weeks away, then canceled the future delivery order while standing in the store as soon as I had the iPhone box in front of me. I had been looking for one of those phones on Friday morning, but soon afterwards saw this UPS notification that the phone was coming on Tuesday.
One difference in this year is that the Apple Store app showed "Shipped" before the phone arrive in Louisville, never saw that before! I actually got the shipped notification from Apple Store.app before I got it from UPS.
It didn't actually leave China yet. If it did, you'd have gotten a Departure Scan. Looks like it's awaiting to clear customs.
While I hate to judge before all the facts are in, it is starting to look like Lew was right. Lucky for me my iPhone 11 Pro Max is still functioning perfectly. No desperation for me, just a bad case of "I Want It."

Well by time I woke up I had Apple stor notifications and UPS. I think Apple was first during night/early Saturday am
Customs are at Louisville always. Look at times this last one fits date and time wise right after being at clearing agency it always is messed up like that. The package in Transit is last item after package has been cleared by government agency some 7.5 hours later. Not sure why they are always like that but they are. Now all of a sudden the rest will fill in at Louisville
No your phone is still in zhengzhou. Look at one more above where it says Arrived at Facility. The first departure indicates it left the warehouse and the arrived is the one that's sitting at the airport. You will get another departure from ZZ, and that's the one that is on the plane.
Mine shows tuesday delivery, I was hoping it would leave china and get to KY tonight but thats not happening

Yah most is in same factory facility near or at airport. your 2019 example is in order but for some Reason mine has that 11:29Am release out of order.
I have seen these all over the map, things out of order, ect in the years of the IUP. Things missing that show after I get my phone or at least after it arrives at Louisville and gets its final clearance by US customs and leaves for my location. It is all over the map and sometimes confusing I am guessing it is out but we shall see what it shows (I hope once it really shows in the time frame before delivery to me from Louisville. I would guess worse case since they say Tuesday is that it is going now from China and will show in Louisville on Monday from where ever it is if they are making that Tuesday schedule.
I guess we shall see will be interesting.
Your time frames in China look within the hour of my time frame so must be a bunch moving out of factory side to government and airport side of the factory. Yep thats all we have for now I find UPS shipping info on computer to be funny and messed up sometimes missing the shipping to Anchorage and just shows in Louisville when there are a lot of phones shipping. Info is tantalizing, confusing and often missing pieces ;-)

All the discussion about what the curious tracking data from China here is the UPS flights from Anchorage to Louisville since yesterday early morning and ones on way today, or early morning tomorrow given we have not seen this leg of journey our phones could be in China or who knows. But I would assume by tomorrow we should see updated info that it is in Louisville so it can go to us during day on Monday for Tuesday delivery If it does not then apples conservative Friday date might end up right LOL
Ok this is an experiment the shipping info was more out of order than I realized but it was all info for 9-25-21 Anyway when I organize each by the time of day this is what it looks like seems to make more sense to me but who really knows not much else I can do until I get more tracking data LOL I PUT MY INTERPRETATIONS IN CAPS I COULD BE WRONG BUT SOMETING TO DO LOL

Well here it is 8:45 am Monday and tracking still stuck with the “departure” scan at 7:10 PM 9-25-21 no change. I think that part way through the Friday deliveries their computer tracking system as it often does had issues and it looks to me the usual mix of weirdness, lack of tracking at the departure point still says delivery estimated on tomorrow so I really wonder if it is stuck in china or here and just will show tomorrow. Anyone else who got estimate of tomorrow from this later 10/6 to 10/11 group see any movement in US yet?

So what do you think are the other two scans later than arrival at 5:20 over next two hours all about. I am curious what just sitting there sounds like shipping but yeah no movement after that would imply your conclusion. Kind of loosing hope it comes tomorrow not having a specified guarantee of a day is hard for us. My wife loves to to substitute TA work in schools but now has to be here all week when I go to get grandson after school in afternoons M-W so she is not thrilled with being held hostage to another package LOL. More often it is my packages of fossil trilobites coming via USPS which tracking (takes two days from friend in California) is generally more up to date and informative (except once in transit to east central Illinois when it is shipping to next destination but the times are consistently another day at that point for 2 day packages).
I know there were lots of tracking data snafus on Friday and UPS is shipping lots of phones not just mine wonder if they have the same issues? Curious of the volumes after the 9/24 opening day shipments that UPS handles
