Phone is definitely smaller, and you can see that on apps that's not been updated yet for this screen. I'm just hoping Apple will make a XL or X Plus size next year.

Other than that, the new features and gestures on this phone is very easy to learn. Apple was right again, it was seamless!
They will. Almost certainly. I would be surprised if next year they (finally) retire the 8 and the next gen X and X+ are launched. Everything we know about the development of this iPhone seems to indicate that will happen.

I’ve been waiting forever for a plus type size screen but not in the plus size body. I’m in love with this phone. Face ID has been flawless and I barely even think about unlocking my phone. Animojis are a novelty but hysterical nonetheless. I finally have gotten what I want out of a cell phone.
When apps are updated (looking at you tapatalk!) it will be perfect :)

Love the phone but the size is a bit too small. The problem isn’t the screen real estate. It’s the font size. Many of the apps have dynamic fonts where you can adjust through the settings, but others such as safari have much smaller fonts than the plus models, even when zoom was turned off. My aging eyes strain with this phone. Everything appears size wise similar to the 7 but with more on the screen on the top and on the bottom. Overall still love the phone and it finally feels like a true upgrade. Next year the Xs plus will be the perfect phone if Apple comes out with it.

I’m embarrassed to admit how much I’m enjoys Animojis. Seriously.

I like the phone. It's a smaller sized phone, with the same sized screen. My only complaint is i wish it were a bit wider. I don't think the notch will ever leave. The camera has to go somewhere. I would also have appreciated a 3000-3100 mAh battery, and fast charger included in the box.

I agree with just about all of you here. The X is the phone I’ve been wanting for some time now. Smaller then the plus but larger then the 4.7 in phone. Perfect! Love it!

The height of the screen is freaky. It just doesn’t feel natural. But it’s so impressive. There’s no doubt there will be an X Plus next year tho. And that will be perfect for me.
I really do miss the width of my 8 Plus but it really hasn’t been difficult to adjust. The keyboard sitting higher on the screen helps with the typing. I think Apple put a lot of thinking into every aspect of this phone.

It‘s not all about larger/smaller. A very dumb comparsion. There are a lot of apps who use the bigger screen of a Plus model for more menu entrys or dual pane view.

They are all gone on an iPhone X now. Like on the common 6/7/8 displays. From technical point of view, for a developer, the screen of the Plus models is bigger.

Definitely a very smooth transition after having had the 6plus and 7plus. Nice to have a slightly smaller phone that maintains the screen space. Although I believe the actual usable space is a bit less than on a Plus phone I'm not noticing any major difference, which I do when i pick up a regular iPhone.

I’ve had a Plus since those models were available. But I’m loving the X. The display doesn’t strike me as larger or smaller, just different in all respects, and better. I love the form factor. Feels better in the hand and fits better in my pocket. Keyboard was an easy adjustment for me. Overall this is such a different iPhone from any I’ve had before, and it is so smooth and so polished.

Yes there are a few “deducts” from the Plus, but I don’t regret it. This design just feels tighter. Like going from a luxury SUV to a high-end sports car.

Coming from the 7 Plus and I love the size, my opinion on the plus was that I loved the screen size but the actual device size was a bit much for me. This is perfect for me on both levels. The display isn’t as wide but it’s not something that really bothers me.

Once developers sort their apps out to take advantage of the screen it’ll be fantastic.

Hasn't been an issue at all so far. Keyboard is a bit off, that's it.

totally get this for some. for me however the X kybd is the first time in 3 years—since 6 plus/6s plus use—that i have been able to type without constant “i” rather than “o” hit. :) one-handed I can reach all but “a” and “q” without second hand support. hmmmm caps maybe.
[doublepost=1509792444][/doublepost]love that the X screen “sees” me and doesn’t do a lock-screen fade regularly just cause i havent scrolled recently.

Love the swiping! I thought I would miss the home button, nope!
Love the colors and brighter screen (mine is brighter than my 7 Plus)
Hate the smaller keyboard
Miss the larger Plus screen for sure, compare Facebook photos for example
Do not like how most apps are not optimized and feel so small in comparison to the Plus

CANNOT WAIT TO BUY THE PLUS X NEXT YEAR!

Loving this new style of iPhone, just want it bigger already.

Exactly how I feel :D It’s a beautiful phone and I am happy with it but I am ready for the X Plus. I like a bigger keyboard

A couple things I've learned from just a day's use.

  1. I just wish the screen were a tad bit wider
  2. I abhor the new app closer. Should be able to just swipe up to close. Some people don't like 50 apps "running" in the background no matter what Apple says.
  3. Learned a new trick from another thread. To quickly bring up the app switcher, swipe up and make an upside down "L" to the right. It pops right up.
  4. Face ID. is super quick when swiping up to unlock. I just wish it went to the home screen like using Touch ID.
  5. The "blue shift" doesn't bother me because who looks at their phone from an angle? I have an LG OLED tv at home and I don't get that, but it is a curved screen so who knows what next year will bring. A curved, larger display X Plus perhaps.
  6. Reachability using one-handed isn't a deal breaking, but I'm thinking it could've been implemented slightly different
  7. Taking pics on the "larger" narrower screen makes the pics seem small
  8. I don't notice "the notch" even watching movies

Any way, just a few of my thoughts.

I love this form factor as it makes me feel like I have a phone and not some funky phablet. Though I loved my 7 Plus, having the iPhone X was a refreshing change of pace and one that I am happy with long term. The only downfall is that I have big hands, so it’s a little rough to type two handed at first, and I keep forgetting about the keyboard shifting options. I adjusted to the gesture based navigation fairly easily. Easily, I think this was the iPhone that I was always waiting for!

This hits the nail right on the head
This makes me confident that I love the X. I hated landscape mode and kept my phone portrait locked 99.9 percent of the time. Infact my X is portrait locked. I would get an X plus for a bigger screen though.

You can swipe up to close apps, you just have to wait until the red - circle appears. I stumbled upon this yesterday afternoon.

24 hours in. Unless I line my X and old & Plus up, I can't really tell the difference in screen size - the fact that the X carries all the best internals and is still similar to the standard 7 is really nice.

Love everything about this phone. Fantastic work from apple.
