facing this possibility is why I decided to upgrade to the 4S. I'm not sure I can stay with apple without my jailbreaks. Only time will tell.

Yup. I've been keeping my eye on android 4.0 devices that will be released in the near future for this reason only. I'm dreaming that iOS 6 will integrate bitesms and a theme store. It will never happen, but I can dream

So are people really predicting the end of an era in jailbreaking in unlocking?
Seems to have stalled, esp w/ the iphone 4 baseband stuff.
This might be the end of me using iPhones. I live overseas and 1) Can't afford the 20% markup on int'l unlocked phones and 2) Don't enjoying seeing the two iPhone 4's sitting on my desk doing nothing (for $50 usd a piece, don't judge me)

None that are really out yet. I'm probably locked on AT&T so the SGS III as that should be out within months.
I was thinking the same thing but the US version wont be out for atleast 7 or 8 months as the oversees version will be out in April

Corona (5.0.1 untether) 1.0-4 is now out: users of redsn0w or the older packages should install. This fixes both iBooks and launchd (again).

I still think that the SGS2 is a better phone than the GNex. Just my opinion, screen isn't quite as nice, but it's def faster.

Yeah im just basing it on the SG2, i cant see them releasing the 3 so soon after the 2. I can just imagine it will be like the SG2 where it will be released oversees in April and then the US months later. But i can be totally wrong

In the US, since it is up to the carrier Most of the time, we are always way behind on a lot of androids that don't originate I'm the US. Which in reality, is almost all of the really good ones.

Interesting that I am not seeing it. Even searching for Corona in Cydia, still shows me 1.0-3? Is this new update authored by the Chronic Dev Team or another source?

As many users don't realize that untethers only affects boot, I just released 1.0-5 of the Corona package, which forces a reboot on upgrade.
I hope it's only a few HOURS!!!!! I wish he would update the blog and fix it so we would know.
But this confuses me even more because of planetbeings post. He made me feel like it could be a week or more but now with pods update it sounds like Chronic team has the jailbreak and is ready to go. What do you guys think?
