I think after a certain point of trying to keep everyone calm by releasing what info they can, they actually create more anxiety and uproar than existed when there were 0 updates at all. I appreciate the updates as much as the next guy but it definitely makes me more and more curious about the release date as opposed to when I knew nothing... oh, that's what ignorance is bliss means.

anyone knows if iSurenix is part of this JB team?

I dont know if hes part of the team but from the sound of his tweets he might know something. He tweeted he is looking forward to pods next tweets. But who knows those tweets might not come for days...

I think we are all looking forward to pods next tweets, not just some guy on twitter.

This is someone complaining about something, or in this case, nothing.

I really like the updates and lets me know what is going on.

I don't agree with that sentiment at all. I see exactly what The Highlander is saying.

As we've learned from jailbreaks in the past, no eta or public leaking of information is the way to go. I mean, just look back at the last couple of pages. People are picking apart "only a few" until it has no meaning left. They're driving themselves crazy over what it could mean. The devs saying anything only adds fuel to the fire of people's craving for the jailbreak.

The devs have learned the hard way (to a point) that putting any sort of info out there just drives people to act silly.

I'd rather they just didn't say anything...ever. Just let them work their magic and then release the jailbreak when it's ready. It would be a lot less "stress" on everyone, including themselves.

Well, i wouldnt say he is complaining about nothing. He doesn't appear to be knocking the dev team, and he does appear to be grateful. I think that the last sentence on pod's blog was nothing but confusing. At this point tho it is 100% good news and we know that a JB is coming. So that is really all that matters to me at this point. Lets just enjoy the entertainment in this thread! By the way @jbarresi, i am going to hold you to the post where you say that you will quit your job. that really shows your devotion to this JB!

Dear pod2g and the rest of the dream team,

Pay no attention to spoiled brats. They are idiots and don't understand that you're working your a**es off for the benefit of the community even though you don't have any obligation to us

Take all the time you need. You can do absolutely no wrong in my eyes :D

this thread reminds me of keynote threads... waiting for apple to post the video for those of us who go spoiler free... only the wait has been much longer on this one!

Nice video on the Blog along with a note "only few more to go"

Then it would be easy to say you would quit haha.

The 4S is so silky smooth, almost more than my gf.

You have issues if you prefer the 4S over your girlfriend :D

Hoping to have my 4S jailbroken by the end of the week. Fingers crossed this is the case though would rather it come out ready rather than rushed out to appease the people who are demanding it now

So I guess "a few" meant a few days

Not his native language

I think you guys fail to understand that his native language is French.... If you look at some of his other posts you will be able to notice.

More importantly he has been the most consistent when it comes to updates compared to any of the other hackers in the community. It's unfortunate that many of the complainers have the loudest voices.

I'm pretty sure future hackers will be reluctant to be as open as he is.

I will admit I am as anxious as the next guy frequently checking twitter and Mac sites but let's all just relax.

There is life outside of Apple..............

How long did it take from the time the A4 untethered 5.0.1 video hit youtube until the release of redsn0w .9.10?

Sorry to ask

I am sure this is addressed somewhere, but there is so much information out there that I am having a hard time parsing it all out.

I have two A5 devices, both running 5.0.1. When the jailbreak is finally released I would like to give it a go. I have never jailbroken before (and never have a pre-5.0 device) so I would like to prepare as best I can so that I have options if I want to undo it later or have a problem and need to start fresh and jailbreak again.

Tinyunbrella, iFaith, etc... do they all do the same thing at this point (save the info that will let me downgrade or restore in the future if Apple has already put 5.1 out)? I get the impression that things changed a lot when 5.0 came out (specifically, that when a new version is released you are no longer able to restore a prior version unless you have things saved correctly) and it is hard to know what still applies. I am not concerned about unlocking (so I don't think baseband matters to me, but I am not 100% on that either).

Can anyone point me to a sort of "beginner's guide to jailbreaking" that explains the current state of affairs and not how things were back on earlier iOS versions?

Again, I am sorry to ask... but there is so much information that seems not to be relevant anymore.

Thank you in advance.
