I'm thinking it has to do with the unlock and 5.0.0 compatibility more than the jailbreak. And maybe some more beta/bug testing. But we saw it working folks ...

Pretty sweet battery life. Although I'm pretty sure I'll never see the battery life my 4 had on my 4S unless upcoming updates are easily jailbrokem(which I don't see happening) I'll be sitting on 5.0.1 for a while. Maybe even until my next phone purchase if JB continues to be this hard to come by for A5.
I'm just dying for something to unlock 04.11.08 - this two 32g iPhone 4's I bought in mint condition for $50 a piece are just sitting here doing nothing in China.
Glad I only paid $50 for them.
I'm currently using a phone that barely has a crystal LCD display w/ no color... the battery lasts for 4 weeks! How awesome is that?!
You didn't happen to buy those $50 iPhones from a guy in a long trench coat next to a truck did you?........ Jk

Can i be a jerk for a moment and ask where the proof of "any minute now" came from ?.![]()

Back on topic; while not painting with such a broad brush, I'll go out on a limb and say that the jailbreak will be released after Wednesday. It will not be anytime in the next 12 hours, especially if some of this may allegedly be backported to include iOS 5.0. From MN's tweet, it sounds to me like they are making this jailbreak more universal for A5 devices (save the iPad 2). That would require more time to not only include the code for it, but test it as well.

Why would the ipad 2 differ its the same chipset and os? The JB will be for both 4s and ipad 2 iff i have misread what you wrote i apoligise, and weds thurs is the expected release

The jailbreak would work for it, yes.. The unlock is what is in question; That's what MN was referring to in his last tweet (at least, the way I interpreted it):

my SO's iPad2 is still running 4.x, so I'm not sure which baseband it has for 5.0; if someone has an iPad2 running 5.0, reporting the baseband here would put an end to that question..
