Its a horrible language with terrible grammar and unpredictable spelling. I resent the British for creating it.
The thing that makes English so terrific and so maddening at the same time is that
everybody created it. It is, to some extent, a mashup of every language with which it has come into contact. That is why there are so many contradictions in spelling and possibilities for confusion in grammar.

Maybe instead of being so negative, you should give the game a try.
I think he
has tried and can't make it work, and doesn't have a five year old around to explain it to him, so all he can do is rant.

I wonder how long is this hype going to last, a month or a summer or longer. Just curious.
Sliding scale. It won't suddenly stop one day, with some sort of "the hype is officially over" announcement and a wrap party.

Not sure how long the hype will last, but I've been playing Ingress for over 3 years. People will be playing it for a long time.
"Smurf or frog?"
(first time someone walked up behind me and said that, I jumped. Also,
Go Enlightened!)

So basically, macrumors.com should buy up pokemongorumors.com and remove all mac content. I mean, for the love of Pete, you'd think the release to each new country of Pokemon were additional details on the latest tech in an Apple conference!
*grumble, grumble, mutter, mutter*
You're right - endless discussion of whether the camera cutout in the next iPhone is 5.5mm in diameter, or 6mm, is much more vital to the continuation of life on this planet.
BTW, just for the complainers here, the next WWDC is going to be Pokémon themed!

I think you'll find it's English. The same language that Americans are supposed to speak. Just because it was bastardised on its travels over the water, doesn't mean that your version is correct.
You're saying English got
soggy on it's way here? That's kind of awesome

Um, it's the only damn thing posted anymore. It's old. We get it. People are using this goofy app a lot. Cool. Now move on.
Or, you know,
you could move on. Glance at the front page occasionally and come back when the page is sufficiently uncontaminated by Pokémon related news for your tastes. When a show you're avidly watching on TV finishes, do you just leave the TV on that channel and bitterly complain that the show that comes on after isn't something you like? Nobody is requiring you to read, or read the comments for, or comment upon, these articles.
I remember seeing exactly the same sentiment ("it's the only damn thing posted anymore. It's old. We get it. ... Now move on.") being repeatedly posted by unhappy people after the Supreme Court upheld gay marriage in the US, when there was much rejoicing by now-happy people, and much news coverage of said rejoicing. How about just calm down, realize that this one isn't for you, and let the happy people enjoy themselves?
