I am extremely anal about the care of my baby. I must wash my hands and use purell before even touching the computer, which is in a hardshell black incase case to protect the exterior. Even a removable blemish has me cleaning the entire computer. I use gloves to touch the thing. I treat it as though it could break any second if I dont keep it- perfect.

i'm not that obsessed, but if i have just eaten or my hands are oily, i at the very least run my hands through some water and dry it off before touching chipper. i make sure no food gets on the computer, and i used to never eat near the thing, but i have eaten near the computer, but am careful to make sure nothing is on it. i vacuum it every so often to prevent it from becoming disgusting dirty as i've seen some computers get. my only thing is how the outside casing got so many scratches...

I take pretty good care of my MBP, but I have a kitty who thinks it is his bed. I'm constantly wiping off nose prints and cat hair. He's a punk!

Yeah my cat does this, and she has walked over it a few times. lucky the lid was down and the techshell case was on it at the time

I feel for you there brother :) Growing up my house always had lots of cats around (I've got two now anyway and they don't come near my machine), but the family iMac they stick pretty close to. The old Dell tower was always popular as well.

We've got a cat now that when it gets too hot she sleeps on the watermelon. weird.

I'm kinda anal about my two iMac's at home but my MBA goes everywhere with me so I can't really control everything. It only has a few minor scratch's after about 4-5 month's of daily use.

As good as I can - Oh, sure- the 'ol Girl has a few scratches here & there, but nothing detrimental. That older eMac I have however, has been dropped, knocked over off a desk onto its face, had water (ceiling leak) dribbled on top of it, and had a poorly anchored book shelf decide it'd make a nice landing-pad to take crash on.
Still Works fine, though it's not as pretty as it once was! :p
