I'm not waiting for Leopard. October is too far away. I can wait until June for an updated MBP though.

I don't know, but the whole "touch screen" thing never really fascinated me all that much. I know for some people it is really exciting, but smudges on my screen don't thrill me, and I love the feel of a Macbook keyboard. Touchscreen makes sense on a phone... not so much on a laptop. Just my opinion.

Anyone who touches the screen of my MacBook with their grubby little fingers risks losing them. :(

I agree. Even if these predictions are remotely true, I can't see much general value in touchscreen. Sure, for certain specific things--phone, ipod, maybe a mac in a kitchen--but not as a general matter. It's a heck of a lot easier to move my hand 6" to the left from the keyboard to the mouse than to lift my arm up 18" to touch something on the screen.

Even on an ATM I tend to use the keypad rather than the touch screen to the extent it's possible.

Anyway, to answer teh question: I am waiting for leopard either way. Since I'm not in urgent need of a hardware upgrade, I will wait until after its introduction to consider a new purchase.
