I spent about an hour in the Microsoft store
So you were the only guy in MS store. Please don't answer this. I really enjoy these answers with Dell/Microstoft in the background.

If you are really hesitating than go and visit windows forums and look at real problems these poor guys are having. They have chosen specs over actual functionality.

So I decided to return my 2016 15" 2.6/512, which I had for 1 week, I figured there wasn't any reason for me to keep it another week for testing.

Pros
I really liked the smaller form factor and the SG color.
I really liked the screen, probably the best laptop screen I've ever seen, the screen was almost the reason why I was going to keep it.

I loved the larger trackpad, worked great and never had any palm rejections.
It charged faster than I had imagined.
Battery was great for me, I easily got 9-10 hrs and more once I tweaked everything.
I liked the backlit keys having there own light and no outside bleed like 2015 model.

Cons
The big one-I could not get use to the keyboard having different sounds across the keys, the middle keys were noticeably louder than the outer ones and got worse the longer I used it. I never had any high pitched ones just the middle ones didn't sound like the others and that bothered me.

The TB I never used and kept it on always expanded so I could have all the dedicated keys, in that case I couldn't see me using it like it should be used.

I bought an Aukey USB-C to USB adapter that worked great for my Logitech mouse, once I downloaded the Logitech software from their website I could use all the button, back and forward buttons on mouse worked perfectly in Safari. However I didn't like how it stuck out on the side and once I almost hit it because it stuck out. Although it worked, I just didn't like always having to be so careful not to hit it.

I feel like I won't be using the dedicated graphics card and feel like I'm wasting my money. I feel I'm a better candidate for the 2015 model with just the Intel Pro Graphics which is really all I need. The only time the 2016 model used the dGPU was when I opened Pixelmator to adjust some photos I took yet. I don't see me using the dGPU much.

So before I got this I had a 2015 MB Pro 2.2 15" with Intel Pro only that I returned because I wanted to see if the 2016 would work for me and if the cost was worth the increase. I've decided to just stick with the 2015 15" model so I went up one on the processor and ordered a 2.5ghz Intel Pro Graphics only and as long as it works just as good as the other one, it will be the one I'll be keeping.

As I remember I was pretty pleased with the 2015 retina display and brightness seemed enough for me. I was coming from a 2009 Dell so when I got the 2015 I was in awe of the display. The 2016 is a bit better though in contrast and colors. But the 2015 will fit my needs.

I feel it's important to find what works best for you and if the price works for you as well. I don't need someone else to tell me what works for me. However I am grateful to be apart of this forum that has helped me more times than one. I'll also be saving a few hundred dollars which I'll put toward the Apple Care.

After trying the surface book with performance base, I just couldn't get used to it so I returned that one and got the 13" MBP no touch bar. Battery life has been very good and overall, it's just a much better machine than the SB.

Let's perform a quick resurrection of this poll and see if we can get some more votes.

Voted "No - 13" TB".

Nor do I plan to do so, to put it succinctly I couldn't be happier with the laptop. The reasons are sprinkled around this very forum in other posts, so in the spirit of brevity: It does everything I need, and probably even more.

I bought the 2015 back in december, so i had the choice of the 2016 but as mentioned, with the dongles and clicky keys i was not entertained by it.
Windows 10 is solid by the way.

No way would I return my 13" TB - it's easily the best laptop I've ever owned: I love the portability and performance of it, the keyboard and the trackpad
I'm not convinced the touch bar is a massive leap forwards in user input design, but it's slightly more useful than the function keys were :)

I know Macrumours isn't representative of the real world, but almost 30% of devices returned? No wonder they cost so much in the first place when Apple are dealing with this volume of no fee returns which are then refurnished and sold at a lower cost

Well if apple starts to have a good QA the wold not have the returnes.

I did have 3 broken ones.
The first did get to hoot.
The second one did have graphic issues.
The third one did have some kind of pop and electronic charging sound.

All of my was confirmed broken by the store before returned.

That is quite disheartening.

My neighbor is on his third and last MBPro with touch bar. He is about to give up. First one would shut down with no warning, second unit had a keyboard problem and the third one had a key that would not work on the keyboard.

He is starting to ask me about my new Surface Book with performance base.

Really hoping they add a larger battery and fix the key sounds with the next 13 MBP (No TB). I love my MBA, but after using my friend's MacBook for a day, the screen is something I can't stand anymore

The battery life for the 2016 13" non-touch-bar is already excellent, so don't count a larger battery.

I'm counting on Kabylake + a slight increase (Whatever that is), and it'd be that much closer of a purchase for me.

Returned 15". Two times already. And not planing on purchasing redesigned mbp any time soon.
Went back to my 2014 15" mbp, and plan on keeping it until I really have to switch. And that's funny, coz I always switch, especially when there is a redesign.

But this time around... Thanks, but no thanks.
If they fix keyboard issues, and release a 15" without TB and with only integrated GPU, then I will buy it 100%.

You'll be enjoying your 2014 for a long time, most likely.
Yeah it's more of a possibility that they might offer a new 15" with iGPU only (if they ever stop producing the 2015 model) but they will never do a 15" w/o TB.

Did exchange my 13" 2016 to a 15" 2015 i7 16GB ram and I don't regret it.

After 3 replacements of the 2016 I'll not try an other one so i did chose the safe card the 2015

Nope. The lack of SD slot still bothers me daily, but the rest of the notebook has been my favorite machine from Apple ever.

I too went through three machines - one Boot Camp blown speaker, one defective keyboard, third was a charm.

I agree. But I do expect a iGPU option only. Not in Kaby Lake maybe, but later on for sure. Just like in last generation of retina MBP. But without TB? I wish, but highly unlikely :(
