I'm on my fourth own Mac. I've always had iMacs. My first was the very first iMac, the bondi blue 'gumdrop'. It was a delicious machine. Enjoyed it thoroughly. It was a whole lot of machine back then. Never had such a fast and powerful computer. People around me were really jealous, too. Good times! Then, I bought my second iMac, the first 'desk lamp' G4 model. Awesome machine. Was really disappointed to see the 17" model being introduced mere months after I bought my 15" model. Oh well. This is the machine I've used the longest time. Sold it after four and a half years for a small price.
Then, in 2007, I bought the first generation's top-end aluminium iMac. Really nice machine, but as I never used it after I'd bought my MacBook (which I'm using now), I sold it. Got a really good price for it. Last month, I threw away my first, bondi blue iMac. I tried starting it up some time ago, but it turned out to be dead. Therefore, I had no need to keep it any longer, so it had to go.
Before my first iMac, though, I've also used my dad's Macintosh ED, Macintosh SE/30 and Macintosh LCII. Really nice machines, for their time. I remember having computer class in high school and asking where the mouse was. I think all my classmates looked at me as if I was from another planet. They had never heard of a mouse. Fun times!
