3. iBook G4 1.067GHz

4. eMac G4 700 MHz

Well I've had 4...

1. Gwen (1.5 Ghz G4 Powerbook)
2. Abby-Lynn (1.83 Ghz Core 2 Duo Macbook White)
3. Madison (2.2 Ghz Core 2 Duo Macbook Black)
4. Madeleine (2.0 Ghz Core 2 Duo Aluminum Macbook)

...computers that is.

Bondi Blue 233MHz iMac G3
eMac 1.25GHz G4 Combo
12" iBook G4 1GHz
1.66GHz Core Duo Mac mini
2GHz 17" iMac
2GHz C2D MacBook

Of all of them, the MacBook has been my absolute favorite. Power of the iMac with the portability of the G4 iBook. My favorite design the 12" iBook; always loved that design, and that computer was so portable and fun to use. eMac had the best screen, with it's super crisp CRT. Both iMac's were great machines, and the Intel iMac was my 2nd favorite design. Extremely fast as well; my least favorite the Mac mini, which was slow and had an extremely crappy wireless signal. Only had it for 2 months before upgrading to Intel iMac.

iMac (mid 2007)
MacBook (late 2007)
iBook G4 (mid 2005)
MacBook Pro (early 2008)
iMac (mid 2008)
BlackBook (early 2008)

In that order.
Bolded are ones I still own.
However, I am trying to sell the BlackBook right now. :D

I've had a total of 7 Macs since 1998. No offense to you recent "switchers" but only the TRUE Mac users have been around since the G3/G4/G5 days. The rest of you guys are Windows dependent and not a true Mac user. :p

Well, since I've been a Mac/Apple user since the Apple ][e came out, does that make me more of a TRUE Mac user than you that switched in the G3/G4/G5 days :p

Three, PowerBook, MacBook Air, MacPro.
The MacBook doesn't count because I returned it.

I switched as soon as Leopard came out. I have not used Windows on any of my computers since. I would say that hardly makes me Windows dependent. :p

:apple:

just 2
my first was a 12in ibook g4 1.33ghz (i think)..
it didnt live up to my expectations, so I went back to PC's

second (and the one im using now) is the imac 24 2.8ghz..
very nice computer, thinking about getting a alu macbook when the price is right..

the switch to intel sure made things different for macs...

Two. Had an Apple IIe back in the day as well.

Got a Mac Mini a few years ago just before the Intel switch. Got this MacBook Pro about a year after that.

Also have an iPhone and have owned 3 other iPods.

I added a poll; the poll is only open for three days, and I may also close this thread at the end of the three days, merely because this has been done often, including fairly recently.

In the meantime, please enjoy. :)

cheers mate.
i dont know how to make a poll.

I just have one... my beautiful MacBook Air.
I couldn't be any happier. :)

Oh yeah, and the Windows box is sitting in the closet.

  1. PowerBook G4 12" (still works but battery is dead)
  2. Late 2007 Intel iMac 24"

Great machines :)

I see some of you are updating like every generation. Is that normal? Seems like a lot for me.

I'm on my fourth own Mac. I've always had iMacs. My first was the very first iMac, the bondi blue 'gumdrop'. It was a delicious machine. Enjoyed it thoroughly. It was a whole lot of machine back then. Never had such a fast and powerful computer. People around me were really jealous, too. Good times! Then, I bought my second iMac, the first 'desk lamp' G4 model. Awesome machine. Was really disappointed to see the 17" model being introduced mere months after I bought my 15" model. Oh well. This is the machine I've used the longest time. Sold it after four and a half years for a small price.

Then, in 2007, I bought the first generation's top-end aluminium iMac. Really nice machine, but as I never used it after I'd bought my MacBook (which I'm using now), I sold it. Got a really good price for it. Last month, I threw away my first, bondi blue iMac. I tried starting it up some time ago, but it turned out to be dead. Therefore, I had no need to keep it any longer, so it had to go.

Before my first iMac, though, I've also used my dad's Macintosh ED, Macintosh SE/30 and Macintosh LCII. Really nice machines, for their time. I remember having computer class in high school and asking where the mouse was. I think all my classmates looked at me as if I was from another planet. They had never heard of a mouse. Fun times!

Ten Macs for me, beginning with Duo. Currently use primarily iMac and MacBook Air, and on occasion old Pismo and iBook and old iMac.

I have a late a 2006 Black MacBook(just gave to mother), 24" 2.8 GHz Aluminum iMac, and 2.4 Aluminum MacBook. I also just converted my brother and sister getting them an Al MacBook and 20" iMac.

i just switched after wanting a macbook for at least a year. Got a white macbook 2.1ghz, 120gb HD, suberdrive, 4gb ram....really loving it so far!
