Agree. My US Mobile plan allows me to make calls, send texts, and data. I disabled ATT and Wi-Fi to make sure all is working like it should. On my test call I could see it was coming from my US Mobile number.

Yeah, it seems that person may have had a language barrier situation and didn't understand what "internet only" meant in regards to MVNOs.

This is day #8 of my saga.
Visible could not transfer pSIM to eSIM.
I had traded in my 12 mini at Apple store on 9/19 so I didn't have a working phone for 6 days until I signed up for a new line on a free trial at Visible with a new phone number on day #6.
I ported out my old number out of Visible on day #5 to US Mobile and that has been 72 hours and I am still waiting for it to be activated.
I blame Tim Cook for this mess.

Visible seems to have had multiple issues despite being owned by Verizon. Hope it gets cleared up for you soon. Not sure why Tim Cook is to blame for porting issues between carriers that have had known issues but I understand your frustration. Wishing you luck.

Tim Cook made the final decision to get rid of SIM tray on 14 not 15 or 16.

I also ported from Visible to US Mobile and it took 4 days. They said the port got stuck and they had to escalate the problem to Verizon. US Mobile gave me a free 30 day premium secondary line so I'd have a functioning phone. At least US Mobile kept me up to date about the port, unlike Visible, who was impossible to communicate with. Took them 2 days to respond, but by then, I had already decided to leave their service.

I wonder if part of the porting issue is because it's between 2 Verizon MVNOs. So technically, you are on Verizon already and it's having issues somewhere in the pipeline going from one system to another.

Perhaps he (Cook) came to a conclusion for the 14 series to be a boring dud to begin with and ran an experiment, a test. The entire idea, aside from a boring “update”, is a complete failure. Now, if Apple quietly brought a sim tray in the 14, they would be stuck with a useless inventory.

I finally got the porting completed.
eSIM saga has concluded in #9 days. 😂

Did an eSIM to eSIM transfer on T-Mobile on two new 14 phones we got, and it was flawless. It was the best phone migration experience to date.

I bet you did it in the US from the comfort of your couch. After a 16 hour flight, when still onboard the plane no one in their right mind will deal with some e-sims.

For me, the transfer took a couple tries. The CS rep at US Cellular was doing it for me. The third time it worked like a charm. So, a mild annoyance, but nothing more.

It took 11 days, including 3 trips to Verizon offices and about 5-6 emails.

Process started on September 16th and I got working cell service on my phone on September 26th.

Had the iPhone 14 had a physical SIM card slot, I could have just moved my card over in less than 30 seconds.

Sadly, if I break this phone, I'll be without phone service again for who knows how long. Thanks, Apple!

I'm didn't even bother trying to move my other line (which is on an eSIM on my old, dead phone) to this phone. I cancelled that service and signed up with another carrier, getting a new phone number in the process. I had that other number since my first iPhone 10 years ago too. Oh well.

Now, imagine doing the same with local tribesmen‘s help in the Indian Ocean at the Sentinel island!

Hold my beer. Mine with Spectrum Mobile took 21 days (3 weeks) - daily calls, visited store had an email pen-pal the last few days to reassure me that they were trying.

AT&T Prepaid here. Two sims to transfer over — esim and pSIM.

Quick transfer didn’t work. Called customer service and we struggled and struggled for IDK how long. Finally, the rep figured out or had an idea of what to do (or maybe someone there higher up told him). Once we clicked the correct option in settings then things began to work properly and the rest of the transfer process went relatively quickly and smoothly.

I will say that the correct option was completely unexpected. There were three options. AT&T, phone number 1, phone number 2. Both he and I reasonably assumed that I should click the specific phone number I was trying to set up. But the correct option was the top option of AT&T. I didn’t even know that option was clickable.

But anyway, it’s done and that ordeal is over for now thankfully.

Activated my Mint mobile SIM by scanning a QR code and in about 3 minutes I was up.

I just switched to Cricket a few days ago. I went into the store to set up the line, deleted my old Mint eSIM, then got a pop up saying a new Cricket eSIM was available (didn’t even have to be on Wi-Fi). Took about 45 seconds from the pop-up to being on the network.

Gonna be honest here. This is 10000% a Spectrum issue. They can barely handle cable & internet. Why they wanted to get in the cell phone game, I'll never know. I tried to sign up with them for just a regular 2nd line and and it got so botched (took 10 days of trying to fix and 2 days of actually requesting to cancel the order). When I was finally able to cancel the order to start new service that never got started, I ended up going to US Mobile and was set up on eSIM in about 10 minutes.

And about a week after I was able to officially cancel the order, tech support finally called back about the ticket that was opened on day 3. So yeah, this is Spectrum not eSIM.

My experience sucked! I even went to AT&T the week before to confirm how my AT&T Prepaid account would migrate from physical SIM to eSIM and was told to not worry. They told me that if I updated my new 14 PM to the latest OS that the SIM change would be automatic when I did the quick transfer. I told them I had heard differently and they acted like I did not know what I was talking about.

Sure enough when my 14PM arrived it tried to convert to eSIM but did not. Called ATT and they told me I would need to go to an ATT store. 5 minutes which involved a QR card that I had heard about and I was out the door.

I hate going to the AT&T store and hope I don’t need to go again. Love my $25 Prepaid account.

I have Xfinity Mobile. Signed up with them a few years ago. With every new unlocked iPhone I purchased, I would simply swap the SIM card into the new iPhone. Can't do that anymore so I just took it to the Xfinity store so they could deal with any issues. It seems that the problem with my account was that the phone I was using, iPhone 13 Pro, wasn't the phone showing on my account and it wouldn't let the rep complete the process. He got on the phone with his tech support and spent over an hour and a half working it out and getting me up and running. After an hour I had my doubts.
