American Apparel

No, this isn't some lame patriotic clothing company.. in fact its very against the "institution". It used to be a Canadian importer of American clothes, but now all the garments are made in downtown Los Angeles, sweatshop and brand free! They give their workers great benifits.

Sorry if it sounds like I'm promoting them, but I applaud their business ethics. And their clothes are GREAT. Fit well (for tall skinny people) and good quality at a decent price.

Damn, you beat me to it... I just got a few of the American Apparel shirts... they're really comfortable. Most of my clothing comes from American Eagle, Abercrombie and Fitch, Aeropostale, and other places, though.

anywhere that i stumble into that has something i like. <shrugs>

i find myself in a lot of Banana Republic though.
i go to Macy's and Nordstrom mostly. the brands i buy from there vary greatly.

got a lot of clothes from a lot of places. i have a respectable tie dye collection from all over, many of which i bought from thailand

For jeans, dockers, and shirts - where ever I can get the best price when I need them.

For shoes my favorite place now is REI. Merrel shoes rock, for those on our feet all day long.

Variety is key...

always have variety from expensive to cheappie casual wear

in Aus:
Expensive SHIRTS: Ralph Lauren Polo's, MARCS, Lacoste, ESPIRIT, Hillfiger, HUGO BOSS
Cheap Clothes: GIORDANO, Cotton On, lol even K-mart/Target

and of course... EXPENSIVE accessories!
lol like Nano w/ lanyard headphones, RAZR, Fossil watches (a must), Buckle belts and silver rings.

And finally the bags.... CRUMPLER bags (no other bag looks better), for leather workbags just buy the cheapest u could find lol they all look stuffy anyway lol.

I shop at lots of different places, but there are a few brands I really like - Ben Sherman, Bauhaus, JAG, Esprit. In the end I don't really care, as long as it looks good. :)

I don’t have a lot of time to shop but when I do buy stuff:

Clothes: Nordstrom, Jones New York Outlet (when I am in Vermont), Ann Taylor Loft, and the Talbots (only because I had two gift certificates from there).

Also there are some nice “high end” thrift shops in Bucks County PA I go to a couple of times a year.

Shoes: Aerosoles (regular shoes) Eastbay.com (sneakers)

At 36x38, I have to get pants at JC Penny online. That's my only choice.
Shirts are collarless Eddie Bauer as a rule.
Shoes, size 15 from Footlocker. Rockport, Sass, from Chernan's
Suits from Mens Wearhouse! (I guarantee it)

I am not into fashion. My dream is to have a daily "uniform", and I am almost there.

Old Navy clearance racks--I love that store!!-- and wherever else there is a good sale. Talbot's sometimes when they have their semi-annual sales and Vicki's when they do their semi-annual sale. Their Body by Victoria is the most comfortable bra EVER!! Maybe next sale I'll try to IPEX... if it's on sale. :) I can't justify paying full price on something that has a 90% markup--especially after paying $10 for a normally $140 skirt at Express (and they still probably made a profit, allbeit a small one). That's just murder to my wallet. Give me the security that I'm at least getting some sort of bargain....

My "work" uniform is either a white or blue pinpoint dress shirt, undershirt, jeans, rag wool socks and a pair of Keens.
I'm confused. I thought your work uniform was pajamas

Whatever's cheap.

Usually at Ross, Marshall's, TJ Max, sales at target.

I haven't paid full price in YEARS.

It's all free shirts and cheap pants for me.
:)

SteinMart

I didn't think anyone else would even know SteinMart. They've got good stuff for less.

I tend to shop the clearance racks at Bealls, Macy's, Target, J.C. Penney, and SteinMart but I've recently been to Kohl's and it seems to have good looking stuff.

I've also tried Old Navy, Banana Republic, and American Eagle but find most of their clothes appropriate for clones claiming to be individuals. :p

Surprised no one mentioned Aeropostale. I got stuff from them. Some from AE too...

Aeropostale is really cheap...as in cheap material. haha dont want to sound like a snob but its true! And it just a cheaper rip off of AE and AE is a cheap rip off of Abercrobie and Abercrobie is just a cheap rip off of J crew...just my anaylsis :)

basically i just wear jeans and some of t-shirt every day, usually with a black hoodie...and i dont like to spend money on clothes. so target, old navy, jinx.com, hot topic (hate the store with a passion but i like a lot of the shirts), etc. also marshall's, mervyn's, etc. for other things.

oh, and the outlet mall in san marcos is also great XD

Jeans: Gap and American Eagle,,,(would at Diesel if i had the $$ and means of getting to a
Diesel Store but i do not).

Polos/Button Downs: American Eagle

Tees: various internet stores like bustedtees.com, band websites, once in a while Hot Topic

Dress Clothes: Palmyra Pants Factory Outlet of Pennsauken NJ (my dad owns it ;) )

Boxers: Old Navy

Meijers and Walmart and occasionally JC Penney.
what's Meijers, they don't have any around me. Is that a department store like Walmart and Target would be considered?

I usually get my pants at the Gap Outlet (cheap, usually around $20). I buy my jackets at AX. I go to French Connection or Banana Rep. for my t-shirts.

Meijer's is a chain of stores in the Michigan area. I guess the best description would be that they are Super-Super Walmart's. Full grocery department and a better version of Walmart stuck together. No auto-repair center, though.
