Meijer's is a chain of stores in the Michigan area. I guess the best description would be that they are Super-Super Walmart's. Full grocery department and a better version of Walmart stuck together. No auto-repair center, though.

Since moving from MI, Meijers is actually one of the things I miss. (is it weird to miss a grocery store?) Meijers is awesome!

Haha, you know you're from Michigan when you talk about going to Meijer's

First of all, because they almost exclusively exist in Michigan

And also, because the correct name is "Meijer" but everyone here still says "Meijer's"

At any rate, I buy all of my groceries there:)

When I lived in Cincinnati, Ohio I used to go to one from time to time.

Dress Clothes: Palmyra Pants Factory Outlet of Pennsauken NJ (my dad owns it ;) )
...

Is that near the Tacony-Palmyra Bridge, down toward Haddonfield Road? I used to drive over that way quite a lot when I lived in Northeast Philly.

what's Meijers, they don't have any around me. Is that a department store like Walmart and Target would be considered?

Meijer is a hypermarket like a SuperTarget or Wal-Mart Super Center but mostly exists in Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio.

We say Meijer's cuz it some guy's name. You wouldn't say Walmart's, but Meijer's is understandable since you're "going to Fred Meijer's store."

Considering my size, both height and circumference, this is where I shop:

Casual Male - Big & Tall
Fred Meyer
Meijer
Moore's
The Bay
The Navy Exchange (NEX)
AAFES PX/BX

TEG

Most of my clothes are from American Eagle, Abercrombie & Fitch, Hollister, Lacoste, Gap, JCrew, and some jeans and t's from Old Navy. If it's up to me though, I blow my money usually at A&F or Hollister.

I was talking to another Washintonian KU student this past term, and he mentioned Fred Meyer. As a Michiganian (not michigander, that's simply ridiculous) I thought he was referring to (Fred) Meijer. I found it a funny coincidence.

Practically all of my clothes come from LL Bean or Eddie Bauer. However, I do prefer Tommy Jeans, so I usually get them at Foley's. I also buy some stuff from land's end as well. As you can tell, I love buying from mail order catelogues that now have web sites....:D

i have an amazing store near me that sells clothes from tv and movie productions. most are in perfect condition and some haven't been worn at all and still have the tags on them.

i've picked up a pair of blunnies for $20.00, an armani jacket for $35.00 and some paul smith shirts for $30. I also got a great deal on a columbia winter coat that listed for $275...paid $125 for it and it still had the tags on it.

the only time i pay retail is for my jeans...

.. directions? That sounds pretty awesome.

Ecolution, clothes made of hemp. Okay, it may sound all hippy and everything, but check out the prices. Despite being expensive, I've yet to come across more comfortable, long lasting cloths. Far superior to cotton and despite not having an obvious label, they look better for longer than cotton based products. All other benefits aside, hemp is far superior to cotton.

The only labels I like are Quiksilver and those found at REI.

As the rolling of the eyes indicates, I wasn't likely to stop, but it's even more difficult these days being 1000 miles away.

I always seemed to be headed toward Computer City across from Cherry Hill Mall, the mall itself, or Circuit City.

Back then, I used to get most of my clothes at Strawbridge & Clothier but they're mostly gone since May Department Stores took over Philadelphia.

H&M. I used to stock up when I go to Europe, but last December I saw one in Fifth Ave in NY and another one in a mall in PA, so I guess I'll go broke in style here in the US :D.

I also like clothes from Old Navy, Banana Republic and A&F.

I know how you feel. Whenever I get the opportunity, I look at Victoria's Secret's catalogues or something. It makes me want to buy women's clothing.

Are you trying to tell us that you dress down for the weekends. ;) :D

I am a bargain hunter, it does not matter if its brand name or not as long as it looks and makes me feel good. :D

I buy everywhere, but always seem to spends loads of money in Zara. Lacoste is good! But I go to clothes villages alot as well

Nothing like River Island for me. I used to go to the Officers Club but I think its shut now. least I haven't seen it around. Selfridges are quite stylish. but River Island for most of my clothes!

Ralph Lauren, Sun Diego, some local surf shops, Banana.

Abercrombie and American Eagle are overrated. WAY to overated.

AE I think is way overrated. 90% of their shirts are ugly. I only buy pants there. AF however, no way jose :) :)

I hate old navy too, to weird of an environment.

American Apparel. Love love love love their undies! I'm also ammassing quite a few of their shirts (both unprinted, and printed such as concert tees and threadless.com).
Lacoste.
Agent Provocateur (and yes they do have more than just lingerie and sexy heels).
The surplus store.
AlX-- their jeans fit me w/out hemming (at least the 'short' length and they offer free hemming on regularly priced jeans).
Gap- can't beat their sale prices.
J.Crew for sweaters and tanks.
Simple shoes. <-- they also have a 'green' line.
My Asics sneaks.
Nordstrom for heels.
American Eagle-- ONLY for their sale undies. Cheeky hip huggers and briefs.
Costco.--> sometimes a gem can be found

And wherever else catches my eye and has outstanding sales. :D

Michiganian or Michigander?
The web site of the Michigan Historical Center uses Michiganian. Michiganian has a long history. It is the term used for the state's citizens in The Collections of the Michigan Pioneer and Historical Society since the 1870s and in Michigan History magazine since just after the turn of the 20th century. But people who call Michigan their home use the word they like best. There is no "official" term.

Off topic and too much information. Sorry, couldn't stop myself. :D
