You don't think there're hundreds of iPhone 6s phones out for review since the launch of it?

This thread was started by someone ranting on about conjecture from a 3 or 4 minute long video review. How about this theory: wait until you get your phone, use it for a bit, and make your own opinion. If the masses start complaining about battery issues, then we might have a battery problem. Until then, there is no "batterygate".

Oh you! There is no room on this board for people that make sense. Enough of that! :)

I blame Nixon.

Best reply I've read today.

For all we know, especially if that site doesn't like Apple, they put a sim with the nearest cell tower in Venezula in the iPhone, and one connecting to a tower on the roof in the Galaxy.

For me, my battery always seems perfectly acceptable for 23 months and then the day of the new 's' iPhone announcement, I notice how completely unacceptable it has become. What are the chances?

My battery was just fine* until I placed an order on the 12th, suddenly it's horrible! Gets worse every day.

*Okay, I had noticed that it was kind of started to get worse before the 12th.

I only said it because at least half of the folks here would have no idea what I'm referring to.

Perhaps instead of needing the latest and greatest the day it is released, you should consider waiting until the comprehensive Anandtech review comes out. That way you can make a rational decision instead of one based on emotion.

I love Anandtech's reviews!

After only 1+ day - I have to say the battery life on my 6S is better than on my 5S. One day isn't a real test but it also indicates to me that it won't be horrible. We will see.

I just have to say that his testing methods seem a little flawed. He doesn't state if any were restored from a backup, or gives any background information, since both s models could still be indexing and doing all their fun first startup stuff. It would also make a lot more sense to just run it in airplane mode instead of switching out SIM cards since he was getting like 1 bar of reception...

Lol gotta love the indexing argument.

The SIM being in helps measure antenna drain. And since it's technically a phone (I know, easy to forget sometimes) it's a metric that needs to be included.

I was thinking of "upgrading" but I think I'll wait for the 7.

The phone has only been released for 3 days and this thread is already funny. I took my phone out last night on a full charge around 7pm. Over the course of the night until 4am I was using internet, games, the phone, the torch, both the rear flash and retina flash with the camera with live photos and 4K video. If this were my 5S it wouldn't have lasted 4 hours like that.

I woke up today at 2pm without charging the phone at all since yesterday and used various apps and internet over the course of the last 3 hours and just dipped below 47%. Unbelievably good battery life, looking forward to putting it through it's paces with 8 hours of music playing tonight alongside some other moderate use.

Battery life problems with iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus? Here's the fix!
BY RENE RITCHIE

The iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus has a slightly smaller battery than the previous generation—blame the Taptic Engine for horning in on its space—but also great processor and radio efficiency and software in iOS 9 designed to extend power savings longer than ever. The result should be about the same this year as last. But if that's not the case, if your iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus isn't lasting as long as you expect, here's what you can do about it!

1. Wait for it

Whether you restore from backup or set up as new, your new iPhone can use up a lot of radio and processor time for...

If you really want battery then the 6S+ is your only option, the 6S is just going to barely get you through a day, just the 6, 5S and every iPhone before it

I am also thinking; let 6s keep on indexing this year and wait for 7 to have better battery.

With battery saver mode on I took off the charger at 7:30am now 6:30. I still have 44% on my phone and I have the phone at 50% brightness so not bad for the 1st full day and I have no overheating issue at all with my gold iPhone 6S

Battery life is same as 6 for me, and get about an hour to two extra with iOS 9.

About 7-8 hours usage which gets me through a full day no problem. Bluetooth, wifi, lte all turned on

I always charge my phone before I go to bed so it's fine for my usage needs

Delivered on Friday at 9:55 AM, it's now the beginning of Day Three. As with any new model it's getting lots of usage being setup and tested. My impression is the battery isn't quite as long lasting as my iP6 Plus, but I didn't expect it to. My years of experience with Apple is very helpful in keeping my expectations down. Apple is a victim of themselves and their obsession with making wild claims of grandeur.

Knowing the way Apple is, I don't believe the hype and never get disappointed. If one knows what Apple's priority is... High Profits.. Ultra Thin iToys... everything else falls into place nicely.

ANKER makes wonderful external batteries. I have a selection that keeps my iDevices from ever going dead :D
