An absolutely considerable amount. But there are still upwards of 800m monthly active accounts. Apollo will have throwaway accounts on it also. How many bots and throwaway accounts?

You’re comparing apples to a 1000 avocado farms. It’s worth over 2T but it also employs thousands. But if you’re comparing Tim Cook or any other individuals to one another then it’s a fair deal.Apple's worth trillions of dollars only because they've ripped off others and hoarded al the profits.
You can't even comprehend how much a billion dollars is, but Apple's got multiple trillions. Regular peasants like me and you would have our lives completely changed with a 'measly' million dollars. This company has NOT earned this kind of wealth. Stop giving Apple a pass.. this is EXACTLY how you get the kind of income INEQUALITY from the super rich and the dwindling middle WORKING class.
I think I remember that - back during the glorious days of the politics/religious/etc. subforum? Man I lived for that subform. It was a blast.Agreed. Macrumors is BY FAR my favorite online place… and they even banned me for a full year once.
I cannot be serious what? The subscriber numbers are in his reddit post."Multi-millionaire" 😂 You cannot be serious.
Imagine telling Wal-mart you will use their entire infrastructure for FREE to sell your own stuff and getting mad they now want to make you pay to use their store to sell your goods all while already charging users a monthly/yearly fee.
Several very popular subreddits make you make an entire unique throwaway PER POST. I would be shocked if even 1/20th of the reddit accounts in existence are active. How many bots and throwaway accounts?
At one point I had 5 or 6 accounts. No bots, and I am an active user but not THAT active. I am sure other people have more than 10. Plus millions and millions of bots. I truly wonder what’s the actual user base.An absolutely considerable amount. But there are still upwards of 800m monthly active accounts. Apollo will have throwaway accounts on it also.
Yep, it was back then. In all fairness, I had made a snarky comment; not meant to insult but it could’ve been interpreted that way. And the MR mods were kind enough to keep an open-line of communication with me and they reconsidered my ban multiple times.I think I remember that - back during the glorious days of the politics/religious/etc. subforum? I'm sure we'll never know. Probably because Reddit doesn't even know for sure. Just like twitter and any other social network. The fact still remains that Apollo, while probably being a great app, still isn't big enough to matter to Reddit. If it's that great then Reddit could always just buy it out and adopt the features in their own app. Or just flat-out copy them as well.At one point I had 5 or 6 accounts. 31,710 years.1 million seconds is 11 days, 1 billion seconds is 31 years. I wonder how long a trillion is.
On an iPhone maybe, but the Reddit app is a dumpster fire on iPad.Let me preface this by saying that I know I am in the super duper minority here... and before you jump down my throat, keep in mind this is all personal preference
But... I actually prefer the Reddit app over Apollo... I tried Apollo but thought the Reddit app was much simpler and straight forward, This was a long time ago so i don't remember the exact specifics, but I remember the Apollo app having all these unnecessary functions and options and I quickly got frustrated with it... The official app you just get in, look at threads, reply, interact and its all very simple and straight forward. For some apps and functions I love options but for some I prefer straight forward simplicity...... And I would also like to add that I was a huge lover of tweetbot, that app I found to be sooooo much better than the official twitter app... which I am learning to live with.

I hate the official app. It's hot garbage.Let me preface this by saying that I know I am in the super duper minority here... and before you jump down my throat, keep in mind this is all personal preference

That's still 80m users. Still massive compared to Apollo's userbase.Several very popular subreddits make you make an entire unique throwaway PER POST. I would be shocked if even 1/20th of the reddit accounts in existence are active.
What do you think it will happen when a company sees its revenue cut to 1/4?Does anyone really have sympathy for Apple if instead of making 200 billion a year they'd make 50 billion?
Probably the same people upset they can’t share Netflix logins anymore either and Netflix is greedy!I have to agree. I don't think I've ever seen a first post so downvoted in all my years here. I support their right to an opinion tho, agreed - credit where it is due.![]()
No idea who banned me.Lemme guess, Maflynn banned you for something that didn't break the rules?
They will make up the difference by selling Apple Vision Pro for $3.5k.What do you think it will happen when a company sees its revenue cut to 1/4?
Nothing, they're still making money hand over fist. What do you think it will happen when a company sees its revenue cut to 1/4?
This. 1000X this.
I say this without any malice, but I recommend taking a look at economics and also human behavior. If you think that reducing a company income to 1/4 doesn’t produce catastrophic consequence for the workforce and the economy as a whole (especially since we’re talking about all major corporations here) you’re a bit off. The first thing that will happen is major layoffs, followed by the cut of all products with minor ROI, followed by increase in price of products with major ROI, followed by reduction of services in general. That’s just for starters.Nothing, they're still making money hand over fist.
You would think they would have found a compromise. Maybe like requiring users have Reddit Premium instead.
