Yes, I should have mentioned specifically that it does not mess up the screen. I just placed my order for:

Got my iPad today from the Apple Store and can't wait to receive this case!
Anyone else get charged right away for your preorder? It's not a big deal (provided they don't charge again when the case is shipped), but it is contrary to standard preorder practice.

I'm going to wait until they have some exotics available. I got a boar skin, which is an amazingly beautiful burnished brown, for my iPad 1. I get tons of compliments on it and it feels great. Definitely want something like this for a 2 case. When I get a 2 🙂
I wish they had some sort of cloth material that covers the screen like the smart case you know?

yup I think we all did - I do not have a problem with it since the ship date is only a week or so away.

@Portenzo is the iPad 2 Notebook Style case thinner or the same size as the first?

I loved my case, I got a composition for ipad1. But there were issues with it,
1. My iPad never sat flat the left side always popped up higher
2. The black binding wrinkled the first day.
3. The edges of the composition case wore away too quickly
I like you guys, I love your concept, I love your style, so I'm gonna get an iPad 2 case. I won't be getting a composition though, price increase is too high for the issues I had.
I hope you address the issues in your new model. I won't order until I hear about what you have going onin June. $80 is too much to spend for a case twice.

Free Shipping would push me over the edge on this, its a good case, and i actually like the elastic better than the magnet shut soo its a pretty good deal!

When I first saw this case I didn't see what the big hype was about these cases. The more I look at them they are really cool looking. Does anyone know if it will fit with a best skins ever skin? I'm thinking not since it appears to already be a tight fit but just thought I'd ask.
Email from darin says they are working on a dark wood option.....i asked for dark teak brown or flat black.
I sent 3 emails over like 5 days asking the same thing and he responded to all 3 of them today. I feel like an ass now 😀

wow I love this case!! I might have to take back my black leather smart case and order one of these! Its the same price fully loaded it seems.
I haven't decided on a case yet, but, I just have to say, the Portenzo case is just plain gorgeous. Actually, stunningly gorgeous.
I completely get it -- the binding, the colors, the style. I covet it. I just don't know if it can be my only case, and that's all I'm allowing myself for the moment. And that crushes me.

The one thing holding me back is the way the ipad is held in, I think over time it will lose the grip and start slipping out.

Isn't that the whole reason to get the Portenzo over the Dodocase is that the way it is held in WON"T wear out over time?
