That’s more of an issue in this thread.Bokeh seems to overblur some Apple backgrounds, leading to binary simplism
Why would that really matter? Wouldn’t you rather have a phone that functions better than how it looks or sits?If Apple can figure out how to make the phone sit flat on a flat surface, that would be worth more to me than a triple-lens camera!
That’s the best you could come up with?iPhone Herpes Edition.
We need an ultra wide angle lens before another zoom lens. This will help iPhone cinematographers could use that for 2.39:1 shots, and photographers are using the ultra wide angle add-on lenses more than zoom lenses.
[doublepost=1547277391][/doublepost]If Apple could put in an ultra-wide angle lens and an 8-stop variable ND filter, cinematographers would be in heaven...
Quite often, yes. It gets dark here at around 5pm this time of the year, and it’s often beautiful outside but the iPhone camera simply don’t do it justiceDo many of you take pictures in the dark?
Quite often, yes. At least a couple every day, probably more now in the winter when we have less than 6 hours of daylight at this time of the year where I live. One reason I love my Huawei P20 Pro, superb night mode. Basically all pictures are usable, no matter what the lighting conditions.Do many of you take pictures in the dark?
Be sure that Apple is studying these like mad now that sales-panic is all around (despite formally there is a “business as usual” situation...)Low light photos have long been the Achilles heel of these devices.
I've been vocal about likely keeping the X three years. If the camera utterly blows me away though I may make an exception. Especially if there are decent trade in offers.
Do many of you take pictures in the dark?
It’s a rendering. They won’t release it like that.So fugly. Just wow.
I take pictures in low light and I want the low light photos to look like they are low light and have good dynamic range. There are some isoless cameras that have virtually no sensor noise and the range in post can pushed, google has done that with AI and is a really cool function. However, many of the samples now look like mid-day photos. As a photographer that isn't what I'm after. We aren't talking about the dark we are talking about low light in which many people take many pictures, but yes, quite a lot of people also take pictures in the dark... both areas in which the Pixel 3 excels. Another user with another question designed to take the focus off and make excuses for why Apple are not as good at something as another phone. The usual "who would do, do many, why would you want" questions designed to imply that the only reason that Apple aren't as good is because Apple knows best and if they thought it was important they would do it so much better. The fact is that Apple have fallen behind in so many areas except in making sure you can't service your devices without emptying your wallet.... In that area they are a class leader.
All I want is a flat flush camera![]()
No it doesn’t.And yet Google does all of this with one lens and AI.
And that is why it’s Sub par camera phone. No one is really using the pixel.funny that the Pixel only uses 1 camera lens to do what Apple can (maybe) do in 3
Looks like that train left the station a long time ago.All I want is a flat flush camera![]()
Don’t be too sure. Doing it like that might be easier/better than making the current camera component longer. It would also make the iPhone 11 stand out compared to the X, Xs and Xs Max so people spending bet. $1,000 and $1,500 can justify their purchase. Removing the notch would be another way to differentiate them. It’s a rendering. They won’t release it like that.
They won’t line up the flash like that. I believe it will be a square, I just don’t believe that will be the arrangement of components within it.Looks like that train left the station a long time ago.

Only going to be one what? And why is there possible only going to be one ? Apple wanna 'test' the water to see how popular it can be..... or maybie Apple are doing a 180 degree circle. and thinking "we'll try again with a top-"notch" phone" in the same way they tried with the Gold one, wish crashed and burned...
Apple running outta cash ? There are lots of things you can delude from this.
Only going to be one what?
What gold one crashed and burned?
Who is deluded?
That camera lens on the back looks like a cancerous growth. Down right ugly.
