Longer power button on the side, but still opposite the volume buttons. So here's to a continued future of changing the volume when trying to lock the screen.

A "function bar" on a small handheld device, with a fully-touch screen anyways, is probably one of the stupidest rumours I've ever heard proposed around here
There is no chance they call it iPhone Pro. That is absolutely TERRIBLE marketing.
Pro tells customers nothing about this phone except it's speedy for professionals. That's what customers hear when they hear Pro. Idiotic marketing for this phone.
What you want to do is draw customer attention to NEW features. How do you do that? You give it a name that makes customers intrigued to find out how it is different; to ask questions.
As an example, if it has wireless distance charging a great name would be 'iPhone Air'.
You're right that it won't be called iPhone 8, but that's just a placeholder name. It definitely won't be 'iPhone Pro'. Another reason you know it won't be iPhone Pro is because next year there will be a PLUS-sized OLED model with the same design, so in your naming scheme you'd have:
iPhone Pro
iPhone Pro Plus (or Plus Pro)
Both of these are the most awful names ever.

You don't think they could color match the software with white? I think they could and I would buy the red edition if it was available. Unlike previous generations, it would not be way too much white on the front.

One reason it might not be iphone 8 is you gotta wonder if they think about how quickly version numbers go up. I mean do they have to think about that at a certain point itll start to be ridiculous when they releasese “iphone 184”
The iPhone Air name would be in reference to distance charging mainly, as I specifically stated, however, the phone being thicker and air is irrelevant really. Air means light, more than thin. The phone is essentially iPhone Plus except much smaller, hence 'Air' as well.
There is a 0% chance they will have a white front. Two milliseconds of thinking about it and anyone concludes there will only be a black front premium iPhone.
To me it makes no sense to illustrate the difference between the screen and face plate, which is why I think it’s fake. I don’t think anyone will ever see that separation or the cut out for the sensors. It would make it look like a different phone.
Idk. Maybe I'm the minority but I love the mentality of the earpiece screen cutout. I would much rather that space be utilized around it for something, and I'm sure they'll come up with a helpful use.
Plus it's probably temporary. It's similar to the antenna lines. They'll figure out out eventually.
PS: Whether this is fake or not is irrelevant in my opinion. There's so many leaks for that design it is probably (hopefully for me) what we are going to get. If we learn from past iPhone leaks it seems likely.

It's not temporary. Physics aren't temporary, and there is no way of getting around inferior photon passage using transparent OLED vs transparent glass. Unless they start doing quantum photography.
Remember the iPhone math? It turned out to be the iPhone plus.
And now every leak is calling it the iPhone 8 ... My guess is it is really the iPhone B. B for plan B. Plan A was finger print scanner under the screen, plan B is 3d facial recognition.
I would not be the least bit upset if they moved all device faces to black. Not only does it look really clean (especially when the screen is off), but it might also help mask the appearance of the thin forehead that something like a white version would actually highlight.

Of course not, I am not expecting a white front anyway, I only commented on it because somebody else said it looks better in black. Also, the image does give a look at what a white front might look like.

No they couldn't get it to look as good as the black would. But I don't think they will do a white front, but they could still offer the white colours, it would just be like it is on the Apple Watch. Personally I think that's more premium. If they didn't have the notch there then an all white model would make sense.

It also bothers me that it's still being referred to as the iPhone 8 now, but apparently it has become the reference name for the device in everyones mind despite knowing it will not be the name.
We will see soon. I've owned one white iPhone(4) and hated the front of it. That said, I still think the new slim bezel iPhone and not the 7s(see why people call it 8), would look better in white vs older iPhones in white.
There's nothing to wait on there. If it has the notch, the face is black. That's as obvious as grass being green.
I think it will be called the iPhone Edition.

The phone looks hot and I’m willing to spend up to £1000 for a bezel less oled iPhone. Tho I’m guessing it will be priced at £799 for the 128gb in the UK.

Grass not always being green isn't relevant to my analogy. The point was that to the vast majority of human brains (sans color blind), the brain interprets healthy grass as green, and what Apple will do in regard to the front bezel color is equally obvious.
It's been mentioned a number of times in reports as well. We will have to wait and see in September but I wouldn't rule it out.
