No they didn't.

They will never call it iPhone Pro,it's just silly and makes no sense for a phone to be called Pro.
iPad and Macbook are different product lines and Pro user base exist fot those products vs normal user.

Yeah I get it now, it's included in the unlocked ones, but not the carrier locked ones. So really there are probably more people who do not get one than there are who got it. So is it really included if most people don't get one? Makes you think.

There is no chance they call it iPhone Pro. That is absolutely TERRIBLE marketing.

Pro tells customers nothing about this phone except it's speedy for professionals. That's what customers hear when they hear Pro. Idiotic marketing for this phone.

What you want to do is draw customer attention to NEW features. How do you do that? You give it a name that makes customers intrigued to find out how it is different; to ask questions.

As an example, if it has wireless distance charging a great name would be 'iPhone Air'.

You're right that it won't be called iPhone 8, but that's just a placeholder name. It definitely won't be 'iPhone Pro'. Another reason you know it won't be iPhone Pro is because next year there will be a PLUS-sized OLED model with the same design, so in your naming scheme you'd have:

iPhone Pro
iPhone Pro Plus (or Plus Pro)

Both of these are the most awful names ever.

Anyway, glad I convinced you now.

It's actually the intelligent way to do the Home Button.

I vote for:

iPhone High

Well, think High Sierra~

Maybe just:

iPhone Hi

It signals a high in iPhone history and offers consistent marketing.

I bought carrier locked iPhone 7 and carrier locked SE and both had it inside.

No, it isn't the first I've seen. It's my opinion, which you don't fully understand. There's really no need to be so rude. You don't actually know what they are intending, just as I don't. So you don't need to explain your perceived facts to me.

I'm sorry if it came out rude, it wasn't intentional. And you are right, I also don't know for sure how it's going to look like.

Guess we'll have to wait.

I'm also sorry for being unnecessarily rude. The internet does that to me sometimes. We are not enemies.
