I don't feel bad asking. I pulled an all nighter last week and ordered the 6+ as soon as I possibly could. And still got October 1-7 and my item hasn't even prepared to ship yet nor has my card been charged... when it seems like everyone around me is at least preparing for shipment. Even people who have ordered WAY after me.

All I did was say I wanted to add AppleCare to my preorder iPhone. I mentioned I tried to add it at the time of preorder and it wouldn't go through so I just figured order the phone and deal with AppleCare later. I wasn't conplaining-just talking. I never expected anything. He put me on hold came back after a min and said he couldn't add AppleCare but for the inconvenience of the ordering snafu how about I send you some dr Dre headphones?
That was it. I even mentioned-I bet you guys are getting crazy questions like "what time will my phone be delivered?" He laughed and said yeah but "we are all excited about they release".

I agree! I have no legit reason to ask for a free case and with 4 million preorders in 24 hours I can understand difficulty ordering, I think it went relatively well considering! I also hate when people take advantage of things like this because it will ruin it for future and they won't be able to compensate you in the future when it's really deserved! Granted some of you have legit reasons but some are just fishing for free stuff and trying to justify it.

Lol I just called complaining about my October delivery date and how I stayed up along with all my friends and theirs have already shipped.
I even asked her straight up how much their cases were... to get the topic on her mind.
Nothing.
And I'm not just gonna flat out ASK for a free case hahaha

Oh not at all. I basically just said "I was wondering if there was an update on my order. A few friends of mine had their cards charged and got a shipment notification today... and we all ordered at the same time"
She looked into it and said no update unfortunately. Then I asked how much cases were lol.
Gonna try this Applecare route too. I was going to add it once I got the phone anyway.

The rep told me I would have to go to the Apple Store to add AppleCare within 14 days of activating the phone.

Just called after reading this thread. Got a free case.
What are you guys saying to Apple to get the free case? I managed to pre-order and got one secured for release day delivery. I genuinely don't know what to say but really want a leather case.

I ended up getting free applecare + because I wasnt allowed to add it to my cart during the preorder, and the rep just scheduled an appointment for me to bring my iP6+ to an apple store and have it inspected. He said it was on the house.

Spoke to 2 reps very nicely about my delivery date being in October and about adding Applecare. I even mentioned the midnight blue leather case but they just told me it was $50 and that was that.

I called and asked about, not be able to get Apple Care Plus, when I preordered my iPhone 6 plus. They said sorry, you can do that when you have the phone activated. That was it lol
