Just got off the phone with Apple. I told the rep to have a great day, he asked me what my fave color was and now I have a midnight blue Mustang in my garage.
 
Waiting to speak to a specialist on 2 different phones. Been waiting for 10 mins already, Hopefully it works! :)
 
I got one free for my iPhone 6. I had originally ordered the silicone case, but called to ask if they could change my order to the leather one since the silicone case wouldn't ship until October. I didn't ask them to give it to me for free, but that's what the representative offered to do when she changed my order. I thanked her for the fabulous customer service.
 
Third time's a charm. I called asking about 3 things.

1.) If there was any update on my order for a 6+ that has October 1-6 delivery date (I said my friends ordered after me and got preparing for shipment notifications today)... unfortunately he had no update for me

2.) If I could add Applecare now. He said no, but that I could when the phone arrives

3.) I asked how much cases were and that's when he offered me a case. Midnight blue leather (retails for $50)


For what it's worth, the first 2 were women and they didn't offer anything. The 3rd one was a guy and he seemed pretty cool and I guess realized I was bummed about my delivery date. :D
 
I called Apple back and said, "I was on the phone with an Apple rep and she offered me a complimentary case for my troubles but our call dropped "

This worked for me. I now have a free black iPhone 6 Plus leather case waiting to be shipped. :)
 
I've tried three times now. I must not be hitting any of the right keywords or something.

As much as I would like to say that I'm shocked by this behavior, these days the amount of people with this type of "I'm entitled to it because I stayed up late" type of attitude is no longer shocking.

I run a small company and sent someone the wrong order by mistake (another customers order). She got 4 bottles of sauce. (one of which she was the same flavor of one she ordered, the other three were different flavors). I emailed her before it happened and told her I will send out the other bottle she did not get and she can keep the rest. She complained that I didn't send her "her" full order and that the stuff from the other order "didn't count towards her bottles". She got 6 bottles for the price of two, was notified before even getting the bottles and still wanted more free stuff. And of course she sent a nasty email saying she will never order from me again.

All you people are basically doing nothing more than driving up the prices of doing business for everyone involved and it's pretty trashy.

Shameless people. Almost as awful as those Shamesung ads. j/k

45 minutes on hold and counting. As soon as they answered did you just say "my call got dropped and the previous rep offered me a free case"?

Also did you actually call previously or did you say that on your first call?

I eventually got transferred to a lady at CS. I told her how I had tried to order AppleCare+ when I preordered, but it wouldn't allow me to add it to the order. I also said how I had spoken to a different lady from Applecare+ who offered a case for my inconvenience, but the call dropped.

She checked my account to verify I had a 6+ preordered and promptly added a case.

EDIT: I said it on my first call. Was transferred from Applecare+->Sales->CS

I told him that I had placed the order for a black leather case for the 6 plus when I placed the order for the phone. I then told him that I was just checking my email notifications and I realized that the case was not on my order. He placed me on hold and when he came back on the phone he asked where I'd like the case shipped to that since I had trouble placing the order for the case he was gonna ship one to me on the house. So it will be delivered to me I between September 30th and October 2nd.

I'm thinking of pre ordering a 6 Plus, haven't done it yet

I just kinda told him what a horrible experience I had with the website at 1200 am on launch day.....which was bad...since I didn't get to order my6+. Until 6am...out me at an Oct ship date...
He said ok.
 
The guy almost immediately offered me a free Apple TV I was shocked. I still asked for a case too lol but no deal
 
Did you all get a confirmation email for the case order? The rep said she ordered one for me, but I have not received any email confirmation indicating the order was placed
