I love my iPhone 4... I went from an iPod Touch 2G to the iPhone 4 which was a huge jump in function and speed. Bars do go down when I hold my finger over the antenna but haven't dropped a call by doing that. I have the white bumper and I am good to go and waiting to get my refund :) Only thing I dislike is not about the phone but the 2GB plan from AT&T :(

I'm a first time iPhone owner and i couldn't be happier with my iPhone 4. It does have the signal issue, but frankly, i could care less. No proximity sensor problems or any other problems for that matter. I bought a case, the one problem is resolved, and all is good in the world :)

COULDN'T*

I must have some sort of magic iphone4!

I mean.....i must have surely......i mean i look around here and i think to myself....maybe steve jobs just made 1 good phone and i got lucky and got it......

it makes calls
it doesnt drop calls
the bar goes down 1 at most
it doesnt scratch at all
the bumper doesnt scuff it
the proximity sensor works fine

i mean......has the whole world just got unlucky or are u a bunch of whinging old women?

It seems like there a lot of problems because people don't make stupid threads like this one saying their phone works fine

well maybe if there were more ppl like me actually praising the best phone in the world then apple wouldnt have been conned into giving away free cases lol

While I wait for mine it seems I have met 10 other people that have the same magic phone. I waited to pull the trigger on mine until I saw how real or not this is whole antenna issue was and in the mean time have been field testing everyone I can find and no one has any problems. Weird.

enjoy it buddy....it's awesome

I got lucky and got two. Mine and the wife's. She waited anxiously last Friday reading about "there might be a recall threads" and kept saying, I'm keeping mine. They can't have it back.

He's saying that you're deluding yourself and he can prove it (and has done so already with someone else).

ok i'm lying....it doesnt just go down 1 bar......it goes from 5 to 0 in a split second and i cant make any calls at all....in fact......it wont even switch on

While I have no doubt many people are having various problems, my wife and I are happy with ours. No reception or prox. sensor issues, I will say however I noticed a VERY faint yellow band at the very bottom of the screen on my wife's, but she could barely see it and didn't care, otherwise we have no real issues. I feel badly for those that do, I'd be upset if I had them, but fortunately I don't. And, I've looked to find them too, I'm as picky as they come, but the 4 hasn't disappointed me yet.

I've had all versions of the iPhone, and this one is truly awesome. The 3GS, which I still have, is good too, but the 4 is remarkable.

So far, no problems here.

Reception: Essentially the same, as my GSM Android phone, if not a tad better on both 3G and Wi-Fi.

Proximity sensor: *knock on wood* So far, so good.

Call quality with holding the phone and using a BT earpiece: As good as it gets.

Camera: For a cellphone camera, it is actually on the impressive side.

DAC (tested with some high end cans): As good as it gets on a phone or MP3 player, although I don't have any studio quality WAV files on the device to give precise measurements.

Unified mailbox support: Very good.

All and all a definite keeper.
